Many years ago I was at LVH during some pGA event. They kept paging “Mr. John Daly please contact…” over the PA system. Later it came out that he fell off the wagon and went on a bender that week. I’ll never know if that was really him they were looking for, but it’s a fun story. Athletes used to hang out with Derek Stevens at the Longbar in the D. Saw Dana White and possibly Kareem Abdul Jabbar there along with some pro wrestlers that are supposedly famous but out of my realm.

We were just at South Point (July 5-7). We were ending our night, walking near the buffet and passed by Brent Musberger, assuming his wife and some other guy. I know that may not be so unusual because he is heavily involved with VSiN and that is a big part of SP. What really surprised me was how tall he was. I was under the impression that he was maybe 5'8" or so. He's 6'2"! Shocked the sh*t out a me!!

The few that come to mind are:
    • Blake Shelton at MGM. At the bar near Hakkasan
    • Anthony Davis entering Cosmo... I think he was still in college at the time?
    • Rich Piana, probably the least "famous", he is a massive dude. Saw him working out at Aria's gym, like a week or two before he passed away.

Out of those three, I think Piana would be the only one I'd recognize...

Hah! The unibrow confirmed it for me.

To be honest, I didn't know who he was at that time until I read an article on TMZ like 2 weeks after that he just passed away and saw on his IG that he was in Vegas at the same time as me. I feel like his biceps were girthier than my body.

I don't know if this is a celebrity sighting, but I used to see Carrot Top shopping at the local Von's. I think we lived in the same neighborhood.

I saw The Rock at Aladdins when I went to Vegas for my 21st birthday! Also…not Vegas…but saw Kenny Chesney playing blackjack at Atlantis in the Bahamas. I think that was 2004.

Super Bowl LI had a large group in town for my brother in law’s 30th Birthday. We were ripping it up at the Cromwell craps table. All of a sudden Simon Cowell walks by with a look on his face that reads “I am Simon Crowell.”

Guy in the group starts saying “You are not Simon Cowell!” We’ll say a few times… possibly a lot of times. Anyway he puts his hands up in that American Idol sorta way and is like I am. I ask the table boss to get security over here as we have an impersonator. Large eye roll received and off he walks.

Was he, was he not… who knows. Either way made for a lot of laughs and story we still chat about years later!

Just to clarify, was that in the 1990s or in his 90s? I've seen his recent commercials and I'm just saying.............

The funniest sighting I recall was a while ago. I attended a Holyfield-Ruiz championship fight at Mandalay Bay. I commented to my friends this was the first time I was in a room with three "alleged" murderers...................Don King, Ray Lewis and OJ.

Don King was actually convicted and spent time in prison, so there's no "allegedly" with him...haha... Also, OJ was found liable in a civil court, so I don't know what that does for his "alleged" status.

Hello Everyone, I have never posted anything just every once in a while check out the site but had to share this story.
Super Bowl weekend 2020 Saturday Night right after a country music concert, Palazzo casino ,15 craps table, table Full of under 30 which I am a lot older. Spot next to Boxman had a reserve spot on it. They stop game to bring more chips even though they had plenty. I went to bathroom as they were counting out so I did not pay a lot of attention. Came back started playing an this really old guy with a pretty lady on his side came to table. I knew who he was right away but everyone else at table had no idea. They stopped the game and he said give me 700. Did the usual paper work for markers but when they started counting chips it they were 5,000 chips and 25,000 chips (40 of each). He started with 40k on dont pass with 40k on dont come with 2 x odds. He wanted to bet more but that is all they would let him. Lost 500k in about 10 minutes. After he lost it all I told him ( YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN TO HOLDEM AND KNOW WHEN TO FOLD THEM. He then knew I know who he was. He the asked the pit boss something else and then a couple of guys in suites came and talked to pit boss. They then counted out a million dollars of chips. Then it was my time to roll. He had 40k (DONT) with double odds on my point and had 2 numbers with 40k and odds. Must have had over 400k on table. I had about 200 on table and throw the dreaded 7. He gave me a slight grin and tossed be a Chocolate 5,000 chip and the dealers a 25,000 chip. The next couple shooters he lost about another 500k but then I started playing dont with some of his money he tipped me. After about an hour I turned the 5,000 chip into 11k and then he cashed out at a little over 3 million but had to pay the 1.7 mill marker so he was up 1.3 mill. He gave me a fist bump and left tossing 4 25k chip to dealers and another 5k to me. I bought in for 500 and left with 16k. I have never won more than 1500 so I will never forget this. He died less then 2 months later.

I'm not surprised people didn't recognize him. He got kind of... "weird-looking" towards the end there.

I had forgotten about that stage - used to see him around Athens, GA all the time when I was in school there (late 80's, early 90's) - never any doubt then who he was.

I'm totally stealing this thread idea from the Craps reddit forum.

Ever see or play with a celebrity at the craps table? I've had 2 run-in's:
    1. Mike Epps and a few of his friends/entourage joined the $10 table I was playing at one Sunday morning at Mandalay Bay while I was waiting for my flight. He stepped away for a bit for a lengthy bathroom break and his friends gave me some shit about it when he got back (Pun intended). He mostly played the Hard-way bets and lost a lot, before leaving shortly after.
    2. Saw one of the Morris twins from the NBA playing at a $100 table at MGM Grand. I didn't have the bankroll on me to join in, so I just had to pass on by.
