Shortly after we went to work from home last year, I was working one morning when I heard a noise out on the patio. Looking out, I found I had a visitor.
Live in suburb sw of Seattle, so nothing like yours. Just ferel rabbits running around. Why keep one or two for pets when you can help populate the neighborhood with a hundred. At least they help on some of the weeds!
Tame I know. Just got home from golf and was saved by this apparently terrible lizard. cats are great…..for insurance companies I guess.
I had to "gently" shoo these "lovely creatures" off the sidewalk so I could get on with my morning walk.
We call them "Honking Dragons!" I remember when Canada geese were more migratory, and you'd only see them at a certain time of the year. It was kind of a treat. Now they are here year-round.
Just another reason I love where we live. These guys have been hanging around lately. For those of you who don’t recognize them..,, they are Sandhill Cranes.
Every time I see a mantis I'm reminded of this movie I had on 8mm when I was a kid. Thanks for posting. They are so cool.
Very cool! I saw one last week in our yard. It was devouring a bee that it had caught on the blooms of some chives. What I don’t see very often anymore are Walking Sticks.
