I hear rooms have been gutted at the Fremont... finally!
Does anyone know the progress of that project?

A portion of the rooms that have been remodeled are being used now. I stayed in one of them Memorial Day weekend. it was nice enough. they did the best they could do with the small space that they have.
If I remember correctly, it even had a small fridge!

Here’s some from a couple of weeks ago. Remodeled rooms are nice for Downtown. They did a good job.

Did they replace the tiny keyed safe with an electronic one?:hmmm:
Thanks for the photos of the remodeled room!

It was a double-booked room. Can’t answer about the safe; didn’t look because I stayed just long enough to lay in the bed for 30 minutes in the afternoon, just to relax. Bed was fine … big improvement from before. Bathroom was small, but clean.

I have been having troubles booking a smoking room for August. I wonder if they are going to reduce the number of smoking rooms during the remodel like they did with California.

Thanks for the picks! I see that the bathroom sink just didn’t get any bigger. That is a show stopper for me.

On the claustrophobic side for sure, but I expect that's how they were before. I would think it's a big improvement.
Thanks for the pics. Now I don't have to agonize over what I might be missing.

Wow, what an improvement! Derek Stevens needs to borrow this room design for the dinky rooms at Golden Gate.

I just called Fremont to ask about smoking rooms since there are zero available in all of August and all of September. She confirmed she is showing the same on her end and "maybe" it is because of the renovations. Now I will have to choose a new hotel for my birthday trip.
