    Secret Pizza! Cosmo.

We are having a last day to remember. I’ll post commentary and pics either from the airport or tomorrow when we are home.

Fabulous last day in town. Lounged in the room. Got packed. Checked out using the TV. Resort fee at Paris is now $44 and change. 3 comped nights, one night for $30 and a room charge of 17.00 left me a bill for $194. and change. Comped doesn’t feel as comped as it once did.

We headed over to the MGM side of the strip. Walked through Cosmopolitan and Aria ending up at Park MGM. Our goal was brunch at Primrose.

Primrose was wonderful. We enjoyed our meal there as much as the first time we at Olives in Bellagio many, many years ago. The rooms, the staff, our waiter and the whole vibe was a comfortable elegance. We’ll eat there again!

We are almost ready to board our flight to San Antonio. I finish this report tomorrow.

Pics of Primose. She had Eggs Benedict. I had a Rotisserie Turkey Club. Awesome grub. 62BA9CF3-A801-4DF7-B8A6-348D52DDE321.jpeg 3B00558F-9117-4E76-A4BD-2C0E9CCECA21.jpeg E62FC5E3-A2FF-453C-A850-3ED5B496DC17.jpeg 6433910D-BB8A-4999-9D8A-BB03F5611AF4.jpeg D443E399-FA00-426C-82DE-4ED1AEB20BD3.jpeg

Following our culinary joy at Primeose we headed north to Bellagio. We wanted to see the Conservatory, play some VP for few hours and get gelato at Gelato Cafe. All those goals accomplished.

The Conservatory did not disappoint. Here are the pics. A7144BF8-9819-424B-B995-7E0CD272938A.jpeg E6DFB59E-11C7-4E5B-AF8F-5A1E176F9EE5.jpeg F11007FE-8D79-478C-9ACD-3F21E49D51FF.jpeg C016DCA1-4B8F-42D8-B7DB-B70193EEBAE7.jpeg 8F46CBC8-C715-42C7-907D-9865151B1BC9.jpeg

After the tour of the Conservatory it was time to make a last stand at a DDB VP machine. I had very little success at the machines on this trip. A theme continuing from our November 2018 adventure. Anticipation. This was the last opportunity to win some money. We settled at an old slant top machine in Bellagio. One could play .25 or .50 or $1 on the one we selected. I began feeding Benjamins to the old timer.

I had some early success playing $1. Up for a bit then rapidly down. I switched the machine to .25 and hit a 4 OAK soon after. I switched to .50 and hit another 4 OAK. Switched to 1$ and hit another.

This was the most fun, satisfying session at VP I’ve had in several years. I ran a bunch of Benjamin’s through the machine. Every time I had a decent hit I cashed out and put some money in the do not gamble part of my wallet. In the end I was up $400 for the day. This does not come close to recovering earlier losses. It is hard for me to say exactly what the loss for the trip is. I mingled my bankroll with food purchases and some miscellaneous stuff. But, I am confident my estimation of ending the trip down $500 is accurate.

I’ll conclude this TR with a post a summarizing the adventure and some Vegas Observations soon.

Pics of VP hits. I forgot to take pics of two 4 OAK’s.

That giant bird of paradise in the conservatory are cool and those hydrangeas are beautiful! I work for a landscape company and love to see all the flowers in the displays. I’m always fascinated how they can keep their foxglove so pretty when they use it.

    Happy birthday to me!

I’d be ecstatic to end up down only $500 lol !!

As far as the MV freeplay, all require a room stay except for the high LP cost $25 My Konami ones. I was going to do them in April, however after Mirage I simply didn’t feel like walking to a bunch of casinos I normally don’t play at.

    Summary of our adventure:

We enjoyed our trip. It was a different experience for us. We lounged in the room and hung out at the pool. We intentionally did not have a list of things to do. Relaxing, having a couple of nice meals and gambling a little were our foci for this Vegas trip.

The strip was busy. Though, not nearly as busy as most times we’ve been there. Less crowded on the street. Vegas seemed a bit unusual to us. How could it not? COVID has effected everything. The vibe is different. Lots of people in the hotels and on the streets but not lots of people gambling. Almost everyone is wearing masks indoors. Most joints had a limited number of table games opened. Several casinos had open spaces on the floor where machines or tables were once located.

Paris still offers a nice room. The front desk continues to be understaffed. Some restaurants were closed. Some were open with limited hours. Could not find a cup of coffee before 7:00am. Overall we like Paris and will stay there again.

We used Uber. First time in years we didn’t rent a car. Ubered from the airport to Paris. Ubered to visit a few casinos. Ubered back to the airport and to our home from our airport. We spent $75 on rides. I tipped each of our drivers. Total for Ubering around was around $95. Seemed pretty reasonable for this trip. Much less expensive than a car rental.

We gambled less than usual. She had some good luck initially. The last couple of days she gave the house back it’s money. I had a fantastic last afternoon of DDB VP. Even so, I left $500 of gambling bankroll in Las Vegas this trip.

We had some good food. The meals at Lemongrass and Primrose were excellent. JJ Boulangerie continues to be a favorite place for a quick bit or takeout for the room. The restaurants at hotel/casinos we visited had long lines most times of the day. Rising cost of food is reflected on menus in Vegas restaurants. Everything seems expensive to me. We spent $524 on food and beverage. Very little beverage. Couple of drinks at the pool were $44+. I will have to do some adjustments to my budgeting for future trips.

We have a trip planned for 10/28-11/3. Anticipation.

    a couple of random pics.

Is that the Sprinkles ATM at the airport or is there another one I can hit up on the Strip?
