Exactly how I feel. It is just so constricting. I can do it when I am running errands and moving around. Sitting in a waiting room it drives me nuts.

No way I could wear one when trying to enjoy myself.

The KN95 masks are a lot more restricting. Maybe a cloth mask would be better.

In Vegas I would like to see people's faces. I love to people watch and I enjoy watching people enjoying themselves at the tables or at the machines. I even enjoy watching people with their friends and family enjoying a buffet.

One of my favorite things I like to do in Vegas is sit at my favorite VP machine that overlooks the crap table pit and watch the players scream in happiness or utter despair. I also love watching the CW's doing their acrobatic moves avoiding customers while balancing the huge tray of drinks which hopefully has my drink on it!!:p:beer:

edited to add: which is why I could never enjoy myself in Vegas wearing a mask.

I don't mind wearing a mask, so that a lone would stop me from enjoying Vegas.
If they start rolling things back and start closing things down or limiting occupancy then that would be different.

I have to say the wearing a mask is a real turn off for me going. Here in Canada we have been restricted a long time. It is just the last few weeks they have made masks not mandatory. But most stores still require them as does my office when walking around. But just going into the few stores here that don’t require them has felt so freeing. I am vaccinated and ready to be done with masks. . I think to me Vegas is just such a social place. You know everyone talking to everyone, casual chats with whoever happens to be sitting next to you etc. I would imagine that would be a lot more weird and awkward wearing a mask. I am going again for the first time since pandemic in just a week. It’s been so long. Vegas used to be my second home I was there all the time. I don’t plan on wearing a mask at this point. But who knows maybe once I get there I will feel differently.

I took trips to Vegas in October or 2020 and January and April of 2021. All three were during the mask mandate. Although it wasn't optimal, it was still Vegas and I had a great time on each trip.

If one decides to go to Vegas and expects full compliance with the rules then it's best not to go until this is 100% over...

The more it spreads the more the chance it has to mutate. That is why we need to get this delta variant under control.

I went while there was a mask mandate in 2020 and wouldn't go again if it was reinstated. It sucks being a single guy and smiling at a woman and not being able to tell if she smiles back.

What is mask stopping you from doing in Vegas? The mask is over your nose and mouth. You are free to take it down when you eat and drink and smoke. The mask does not restrict the movement of your leg or arms. What is it that you cannot do wearing a mask in Vegas?

To answer the question posed in the strictest bounds, yes I could enjoy myself in Vegas if there was a mask mandate. If a mask mandate were the only restriction in place. If there were other restrictions, closures, limited hours etc plus a mask mandate then that would be different. Here in Ontario there has been a complete mask mandate throughout the majority of the pandemic. Do I like that? Well no, not really BUT I understand it and comply and don't think much about it. My wife and I are fully vaccinated and will not wear them when the mandates are removed, but until then we mask up.

Our locals have been closed since March of 2020 (there was a small window when they re-opened but at severe capacity limits), but they recently re-opened. We decided on Friday night to head out to one, mask mandates in place. Did the mask make a difference in our enjoyment? Not one single bit. Would it have been more 'fun' without masks? Hard to say. Given how restricted our lives have become here in Ontario we were just happy to be in a casino period. As the landscape changes, vaccination rates, infection rates etc masks I am sure will eventually become a thing of the past as far as mandates go. However some will still find comfort in wearing them and I for one have zero issue with that. To each their own.

We are going to Vegas in Sept, and if a mandate comes down; then so be it. I can still get hammered and stagger with a mask on.

We just did a two-night getaway. Breweries, wineries, great eats, sightseeing and hiking, and a visit to TopGolf. Didn't have a mask on for one second.

Looks like we're going to Reno in a few weeks. We'll mask up for whatever casino time we get in.

If Vegas/Nevada gambling is your only outlet, you damn well better be willing to mask up while inside.

I wore a mask back during my April trip when it was mandatory, that wasn’t my problem with Vegas.

My problem was it was a pain in the ass to find something decent to eat, drink service at a lot of properties was poor, table game rules at CET properties are now garbage along with much higher minimums, etc.

I have zero problem wearing a mask and would happily wear out wherever required, but I have a big problem with 6:5 blackjack at the $25 level, along with poor drink service. Those two things are bullshit and detract from gambling on the strip (I’m aware of the downtown argument, but I can get that level of casinos in AC for a lot shorter commute).

I guess without segueing, we should be complaining more about the deterioration of service in Vegas, not masks.

My April trip was one of my first winning trips in ages, but I had less fun than I can remember due to how poor service at a lot of places had became. Not all places to be fair, but many.

I did 3 trips to Vegas during the mask mandate. It was an inconvenience for sure but during a pandemic, big deal. Many of the rules were arbitrary and made little sense, keeping a mask on in a pool lounger not within 10 feet of anyone....while not requiring a mask in the pool is among the dumbest things I've ever seen put into action.

Anyway...now that the vaccine has been available for 3+ months to anyone who wants it. I'm not so willing to go along with a mask mandate. I have a trip in 5 days.....which I will switch to South Beach in a matter of minutes if Vegas reinstitutes a mask mandate. I have no problem showing my vax card but making people who have been vaccinated comply with a mask mandate is ridiculous. Give me a vax bracelet at check in, whatever, but I'm not wearing a mask again in Vegas.

At the Cal there is an Alcove of VP machines that overlook what once was the craps pit. I say this because although I haven't been to Vegas since the pandemic, reports from members say that the craps tables have been moved to where the card tables are.

Anyway, this alcove sits at a slightly higher elevation and my favorite machine overlooks one of the tables and because of the slightly higher elevation, it's easier to watch the action, although you will see mostly the players, dealers, at pit critters and their faces more than the lay-out of the table. But you can easily see the chips in their rails and speculate how well they are doing. Also, the TV screens above the tables playing sports are viewable too.

At this location I can also easily scan the action on all the tables, especially when I want to play but the tables are full. When a spot opens up my machine is right by the small stairs leading into the pit.

I doubt I could enjoy myself. From someone who works 12 hour shifts usually at least 4 if not 5 days a week and has to wear a mask all the time at work, I want a vacation without masks. My work doesn't entail me sitting behind a desk. I walk a lot, I get overheated. Sometimes I am fully garbed in protective wear. I want an escape not a reminder of work.

I enjoyed my masked trip in March and my upcoming trip will be fun too, even though I do plan to mask if my surroundings get too people-y.

I don’t like the difficulty I have hearing others talking with masks, but I really don’t want to bring home any virus! I don’t plan to do much wilding or crowd related activities so I don’t expect to put myself at risk. Fully vaccinated, but still, hard pass on getting sick. Hell I never stopped with the hand sanitizer and wipes!
