You know, the watermelon is good but not great. Last time it was amazing! It was a nicer watermelon with a lovely mint honey and toasted coconut. This advertised the honey, but I didn't taste it although the mint was there. As usual, nothing stays the same.

I ordered round 3, a 32 oz Miami Vice. Guy brought by a 12oz and said he would be back with more, since they messed up the size. Also, no souvenir cups or Coronas due to supply chain shortage.

I'm going to need some serious DripDrop. I thought he would be bringing a smaller one. LOL.

I did the wave pool and the lazy river with the girls. H made sure my tube went under the waterfall. I now look like a wet poodle.

My poodle mix dog pulls off the look much better than Vegasworm does.

The storm clouds are building.

Oh damn, if done right that sounds wicked good!

I’m still hanging tight at Delano Beach Club. Sky is looking promising!

I have a video from last August where the clouds look so ominous behind Caesar's, and then on the other side behind Harrah's it was blue skies and sunny. It didn't rain a drop that day. Hopefully this holds true for you too!

That Miami Vice looks so yummy. Best Vegas Pool Drink!

Let's get back to last night and the girls' first visit to Circus Circus. Our taxi ride there was fairly quick. Once we arrived though, wow! It was soooo crowded. Kids and adults everywhere, and I mean everywhere.

I popped into The Steakhouse to bump our reservation from 8 people to 11. It was no problem, although I was told it might not be at one big table.

The girls looked at the Manga store a bit, then we went to check out The Adventuredome. So crowded! I knew there was no way we could pull that off easily before dinner. Just too many lines.

    20210720_170957.jpg
There were two lines to get through before you could even start lining up to ride the rides.

We went to check out the Midway while we waited for J and her girls to arrive. Lots of slot machines were roped off and looked like they were having their chips upgraded or something like that.

    20210720_163516.jpg
    Roped off machines.

    20210720_164801.jpg
Carousel of slots roped off too.

We caught a circus act. Very little seating area, so we winged it on the backside.

    20210720_173026.jpg

    20210720_173134.jpg

    20210720_173153.jpg

    20210720_173525.jpg

J and her girls showed up then, so I bought my girls an arcade card to share. I bought the $100 one with the most points. I also spotted a Buffalo Diamond machine at this point. Finally! I still haven't found one on the South end of the Strip. :( J stayed with the girls while V and I went to press our luck on Buffalo Diamond

At first we were down and sucking. We hit a small bonus on the first spin and then nothing. We switched machines and after about $40 down we hit a bonus that retriggered spins a few times.

    20210720_180502.jpg
Ended up 44 spins at 3x pay on a .75 bet.

    20210720_180507.jpg

Cashed out after the bonus was over for this with a hundy in.

    20210720_180832.jpg
$92 profit definitely helped with the morning losses.

Girls played lots of Midway games before dinner. They were disappointed they hadn't won any prizes.

    20210720_180944.jpg
When I cashed out at the cashier, I liked the brass clowns on all the cage windows. So little theming left anywhere.

It was getting close to our 7pm dinner reservation, so we headed toward The Steakhouse where the eight of us were meeting my brother-in-law and his girlfriend, and my nephew.

Sweet! We have yet to make it to the Delano pool. I'm getting sleepy, so I might take a cat nap in my lounger. The girls are out in the wave pool.

Earlier H, N, G, and I were walking back from the lazy river. We cut across the shallow part of the wave pool to get back. We were carrying our giant tubes with us.

When a wave came rolling along, the next thing I know, my niece N has gone down. Thankfully, she wasn't hurt. I have been laughing all day as to the reason why.

N blew out her flip flop! If that doesn't call for a margarita, I don't know what does. :D

    20210721_155106.jpg
Look how it blew out both in the front and back. Crazy!

Looking at the breakfast menu reminded me of a breakfast at Sam's Town back in the 90s. Buddy and I had an early tee time and went for breakfast at mary's Diner. No menus, just give us two orders of bacon and eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee. We shoved it down and i took the check up to pay. I set it down on the counter and told the cashier it was wrong. She asked if it was too much and I said not enough. I told her what we had and she said, no it's right. You had the special. So I went ahead and paid the whole $1.76, in cash mind you! I got the check and Bob left a $5 tip.

Then I'm definitely not getting one. I didn't eat them on last night's salad. I did eat V's tomatoes and mushrooms on his salad though. Does that count?

So our dinner last night at The Steakhouse at Circus Circus was superb. I mean, it really was a great meal. Good drinks, good atmosphere, good service, good food, good everything. I love that sides and soup or salad are included in the price. None of that $14 a la carte baked potato or broccoli BS. I've wanted to try this place for a long time, and I'm glad to check it off the list finally.

They were able to accommodate our whole party of 11. We had our own little room alcove with a long table that worked perfectly for all of us. The setting is that dark, old-school steakhouse feel. I love that nostalgic setting!

The pictures below are pretty dark! I'm waiting for my brother-in-law to send me the group photo taken with his phone. I'll post food in the meantime.

    20210721_172913.jpg
Brother-in-law C in the middle, with his girlfriend V, and my nephew E.

    S, G, and H

    20210721_173021.jpg
Long table. V on his phone, tsk tsk.

    20210721_173101.jpg
S took a picture of us.

    20210721_173148.jpg
A couple of breadbaskets were brought several times.

    20210721_173219.jpg
Love the rose shaped butter pat. Reminds me of Hugo's Cellar. I used to love that place until my last experience there was pretty bad.

    20210721_173245.jpg
V got a Gibson Martini and E got a Dirry Blue Martini.

    20210721_173923.jpg
B-I-L and Nephew got Old Fashioneds.

    20210721_173338.jpg
V and I shared a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. S and H shared one at the other end of the table.

    20210721_173404.jpg
B-I-L and his girlfriend got oysters.

    20210721_173441.jpg
I got a House Salad with blue cheese dressing. I did not eat the croutons @Johnzimbo! :p Everyone else ordered a salad too, except for G who got the Black Bean Soup.

    20210721_173510.jpg
G's Black Bean Soup. She didn't add the little side of diced onions that comes with it.

    20210721_173614.jpg
G, H, and S split a Porterhouse steak. They each got their own salad/soup and sides. The waiter charged one split plate charge for the three girls. The split charge there is $20.

    20210721_173648.jpg
    J got the Filet Mignon.

    20210720_202143.jpg
Sa and N each ordered their own NY Strip steak.

    20210721_184642.jpg
    Brother-in-law got the Ribeye.

*My nephew and B-i-l's girlfriend both got the salmon. Unfortunately, my one picture of that was blurry.

    20210721_173839.jpg
V and I shared the large cut Prime Rib done medium. We're usually medium well people, but this tasted great. V isn't a big prime rib guy, and I love prime rib, so I'm glad he shared with me. We both chose Garlic Mashed Potatoes (you can also choose a Baked Potato or Wild Rice) as our side and Asparagus were the veggie of the night.

    20210721_173816.jpg
V and I added the King Crab Legs accompaniment. Tasty!

    20210721_174018.jpg
I ordered a Manhattan and a glass of Cabernet to go with dinner.

    20210720_203107.jpg
V ordered a Vodka Martini and a glass of Cabernet to go with his meal.

    20210721_174040.jpg
By the end of the meal, we had slayed it. *My phone light enhancer makes it look redder than it was.

All in all, it was a great meal! Our water glasses were constantly refilled. Orders were never mixed up. The server didn't bat an eye at splitting the check three ways. Everything was really superb, and I would highly recommend The Steakhouse.

    20210721_174156.jpg
Final bill for our family of five. I tipped $86.82 to make it an even $500. Expensive yes, but we felt it was well worth it.

We were too full for coffee and dessert, so no comments there.

    20210720_214643.jpg
I liked this picture in the bathroom. LOL.

I'll do a separate post for our after dinner Midway games and walk back.

All of us are back in our rooms and showering and cleaning up. I have a headache, I think because I skipped my usual morning coffee. I've been drinking lots of hydration stuff, so hopefully a shower will help. I feel a bit sun baked.

Plan is to get the girls food court food and then V and I are going to go eat and gamble some, while J hooks up with her son.

Here are some more pool pics. It was a fun day!

I enjoyed the pigeons that would walk around our area. I took this picture for fellow bird lover @luck.ofthe.draw. After I shot this, a young pair of 20 something girls who were overly tanned, with thong bikinis, and jiggly boobs walked by. The more Magda from "There's Something About Mary" looking one suddenly ran through the sand where our loungers were kicking at the bird and causing sand to fly all over our walkway. I was like WTF was that to V as the bird safely flew off?

The girls walked to some nearby cabanas. I was pissed. It's rare to see females harm animals. Well, V said they had passed by about 5 or 6 times already always with a different drink in hand. He said she was drunk and to let it go. I was still mad. :grrr:

Karma is a bitch though, and I sat back and enjoyed watching her group of cabana buddies (both guys and girls) try to keep her drunk ass from falling. They laid her in a lounger, then had to bring her a trash can to hurl in. All this while a cabana server dropped off more drinks. :kill:

I just sat back and gleefully enjoyed the show. Serves her right kicking at a bird.

As I mentioned, I booked the Beach Bungalow in May for $700 prepaid. The price has now gone up to $900. I tipped $100 for a total of $800. Our separate food bill is below. J covered her family's food and drinks.

    20210721_180401.jpg
I tipped $46.40 to round out the bill at $300.

$1,100 for a pool day is nuts, but we've gotten spoiled on having cabanas with the girls. J had offered to help pay, but this was our treat. I'm glad the cabana was for 8 people which felt a little more worth it. :poke:

I can't say for sure or if that's just specific to Mandalay Bay. I have heard rumblings from other bartenders at other locations that there are various liquor shortages that are making it hard to make certain drinks.

So crazy! Makes me think of this.

About to head out to get the girls some food.

Just did a purse dump. I have $1,070 out of the $1,216 I brought for tips and gambling. So down $146 cash on day 3.

I may not have two nickels to rub together by the end of the evening, but I sure feel like playing some Buffalo Diamond. Going to hike it mid-strip to do so.

Spent forever getting fast food for the girls at Excalibur. J and her son then walked them back to the room.

It's much more crowded tonight. I'm dragging and was kind of fizzling due to the throngs of people. I honestly just desperately wanted the coffee I didn't get this morning.

Ended up at The Henry at Cosmopolitan. 15 minute wait, so we played Buffalo Diamond and hit for a quick $25 profit. Got seated and now enjoying some really good black coffee.

V got the California Club Omelette.

    20210721_230131.jpg
I got the Brioche French Toast.

It's been like 6 years since we last ate at The Henry. This was a perfect late night dinner for us.

Going to hustle on back after we pay.. J and The Cousins have dealt with some serious room key issues back at Delano. Sounds like the lock to one of their doors is broken.

    Later...
