I haven't been to LV in a while. Was considering a trip soon then realized there is no way I could enjoy myself wearing a mask while in LV. Regardless of a mask mandate I would not go out without a mask.

The only reason I can tolerate it now is keeping busy while out.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

I had my vaccine, so I don't have to wear a mask! :goofy:

I just got back. I'd say less that 5% were wearing masks, even though only 57%* of the US population is fully immunized. So much for the honor system!

Fully vaccinated, and I have trust in it. Don’t plan to wear a mask except on flight.

I have never enjoyed wearing a mask but I comply.
I flew Spirit Airlines coming back from Vegas on July 7th and I was surprised how many people were not in compliance on the mask mandate especially in-flight.
And surprised that the flight attendants were not berating people as they do on some flights.

Was there in February when it was colder so a mask wasnt the worst thing (got my shots in April) however now, in the heat, I think Id much prefer licking the carpet at Circus Circus however I assume people have done that before and are now immune from all diseases.

Just had a 16-day trip. Didn't wear my mask from the time I got off the plane until I boarded to come home. Felt fine the entire time about it until my 15th day when 2 normal looking 70-somethings standing next to me at the craps table start talking about how dangerous the vaccine is. Then the craps dealer chimes in that it's all a govt hoax...and I think 'Who are these people???' Then it occurs to me that I'm no longer in my 75% vaccinated New Jersey but in a transient city that brings in people from all over, including the southern Midwest with it's 33% vaccinated numbers. I will be returning in Sept. I will be wearing a mask every time I'm inside.

Most people aren’t wearing one unless they’re employees

I didn't mean for this to be a pro mask/ anti mask discussion.

More about could anyone enjoy themselves wearing a mask.

I was unaware so few peeps are wearing masks. Isn't a Nevada mandate on the horizon?

I'm vaccinated. Wearing a mask does not bother me. I believe it can be useful playing Poker. You won't broadcast 'tells".:poker:

Yes, very few wearing masks 2 weeks ago. Yes, a Nevada mandate or at least a Clark County mandate may be in the cards (pun intended). I would hope after the explosion of covid cases in Clark County more people are choosing to wear masks.

As for the mandate, go read Sonya's covid threads. She is doing an excellent job of keeping everyone updated on the requirements.

As for your original question, I don't think anyone actually enjoys wearing a mask. But its not hard to enjoy yourself in vegas in spite of wearing one. You mentioned you can tolerate it now by staying busy while out. Well, that's pretty easy to do in vegas! Personally, I made a couple return trips to vegas starting at the end of last summer and I would not go anywhere outside my room without wearing an N95 mask. I continued to do that until this spring when i was vaccinated the vegas mask mandates were lifted. It didn't really bother me at all. You grow accustomed to it after a few minutes of wearing it. And I found plenty of fun things to do in vegas so I never thought about it

I could. While it’s not my preference to wear one, I would much rather be in Vegas with a mask than anywhere else without one. So, yes I could enjoy myself with a mask as long as I was in Vegas!

I might be just me then. Seems like nobody agrees. I guess I just can't tolerate. I wear a KN95 mask wherever I go. Maybe I need a more comfortable mask.

It is possible the psychology of being in the middle of a pandemic being in my head is the issue.
