I still prefer tortilla chips with guacamole, but I love chicharrones, so it's like getting a bonus!

I looked back at my pictures and cropped one that shows a daybed. I don't recall seeing a pod style one. I do remember there was an 18+ pool, so maybe they were there. Also, there were lots of umbrella loungers marked with "reserved", but I believe those were the ones closest to the pool. I think if you get there when the pool opens, you'll be able to snag some umbrella loungers that aren't reserved,, since there are multiple pools. Hope this helps!

After breakfast at the Pyramid Cafe, we then went to the Minus5 Ice Bar. The Cousins had a blast there. I need to add up receipts, but I believe after souvenir photos and a second round of drinks, I dropped $500+, and that's with J not drinking. Yikes!

Plenty of pictures to come, but we're trying to get our behinds down to Circus Circus before our dinner reservation at 7pm. Going to check out the rides and midway games beforehand, so need to hustle.

Tomorrow! The Cousins are really excited. I think the weather we'll be great. I told everyone we're staying from opening to closing to make sure we get our money's worth. :kill:

Took a taxi from Delano to Circus Circus. Had to wait a tad for a big enough one for the five of us. Haven't been in a taxi in years.
Definitely cheaper than the Uber XL.

Paid $20 cash including tip. I didn't want to pay the $3 credit card fee.

Went to The Steakhouse and made our reservation for 11 people instead of 8, since my nephew,, brother-in-law, and b-i-l's girlfriend are joining us..

Been 20 years since we've been to Circus Circus. Girls are thrilled because there's a Manga/Animé shop here.

It's crowded here and a different brand of people for sure. My grandparents always stayed at Circus Circus when they did Vegas. I also think of @cvkelz since this is where she and her hubby met. Cool story there! I'm glad to let the girls visit, but I can't see staying here.

Here is a pod day bed I rented in June. I believe they are only at the South Pool. You can put the awning down to be in full sun if you like.

Ohhhhh shit. This is great info.

I definitely don't want full sun. The description on the website says "An upgraded version of your favorite pool floatie, each Baja Ledge Chair sits half in the sun and half in the pool." I was confused about the half in the pool thing. My only requirement is the ability to have full shade. Do you feel you had the option for full shade whenever you wanted it?

I'll do the same on your behalf. I had the virus back in January 2020 before anyone knew what it was. Vaxxed as well, but I'm sure the frigging Delta variant will find its way to me sooner or later. I guess if it happens in Vegas, I can just eat all my meals at the Circus Circus buffet if I lose my sense of taste again.

That's too funny, I wrote that last post 10 seconds before I saw you were AT Circus Circus.... Something tells me you're not there for the buffet considering the meal photos I've seen in your trip reports..

Awww, I love that people here associate Circus Circus with us!! It holds a special place in our hearts for sure, and I will be super sad if they ever knock it down. I know a lot of people hate and make fun of it and I GET it, but the memories will always keep it important for us.
    Fingers crossed for your handpay!!

Yes, there was an umbrella next to it that the pool girl offered to open for me. This picture was taken at 9:30 a.m. and I had more shade as the day progressed.

Still at Circus Circus, and have had some major WiFi and cell signal issues here, so haven't posted. Lots to come!

Made it back to Delano! Proud of the girls for powering through. We stopped at the CVS by Park MGM for water, since we're almost out. Hauled jugs of it plus snacks back to the room.

Lots to report tomorrow about our day today. I could never get decent Wi-Fi or signal to post from Circus Circus. Glad I'll be at the pool tomorrow, so I'll have time to do so.

Between yesterday and today (since it's now 1am), my Fitbit shows I clocked 30,675 steps total or 12.37 miles. Since we haven't made it to the gym here yet, I will take our walking as a substitute. We are workout wimps who can't imagine how people we know run marathons or half marathons. We don't run unless chased, so this is some serious walking for us.

    Tuesday's numbers.

Early Wednesday...a good head start, since I'm going to lay on my butt at the pool tomorrow.

I had planned to go gamble tonight, but I'm beat. J's son Et walked with us too and then ditched at NYNY where he is staying. I think after the girls are settled, J may hook up with him to gamble a bit.

Lots of trip report catching up to do tomorrow.

    Goodnight!
