I made it home. Or, well, I made it to STL at least. Unfortunately I failed at getting either a Lyft or an Uber. Even wandered over to taxi area and none available. Luckily my Brother-in-Law was still up and was willing to come pick me up. Otherwise I’d be pretty well stranded. Though I suppose I could call for a cab (is that still a thing) or wait and eventually I’d be able to get a ride share car. Never had this happen here before even getting in/out weird hours. Did have it happen once in Vegas, but at least there were lots of taxis available. Guess I need to rethink my blasé assumption that “I can always grab a car.” #MillennialProblems

Am I correct that the kiosk rejected your voucher of over $1,200 or so, and then prompted you to go to the Binion main cage. Then at the main cage, they asked for your driver's license and players card, then took them and photocopied them along with the voucher from the machine. Then they picked up the phone and called someone reading off the last few digits of the voucher before the main cashier approved the payment after a delay "for your security" of an amount that no Strip casino would even blink?

    Asking for a friend . .

I ran into this on Sunday even though I should know better. I had two tickets that I combined into one larger ticket to get an extra hundy from the machine. Of course the new ticket was too big.

It took forever for the cage to verify the ticket. I've had the same problem at 4Q.

Pretty much. Except they didn't actually take my DL. They made a call. We all waited ~5 minutes. Made another call. Waited some more. One last call and they finally decided to give my my money right as I was starting to wonder whether I was going to have to make my first ever call to gaming.

It's my own fault - I usually don't have vouchers that large, but when I hit the royal, I moved over to another machine with a new buy-in ($500) and ended up combining the tickets from both machines putting me over the limit.

The 9/6 BDlx was there. I didn't check the BP, but I'm thinking chances are very good.

Well. My bag got partially packed. But, sadly, phase 3 of the trip is off. My niece had been sick. And then my sister got sick. And now my dad (who’ve I’ve been exposed to) is sick. And my sister is concerned it might be COVID but they won’t have test results back before I’d be leaving. So, even though I’m fully vaccinated - I’m going to exercise an abundance of caution and go into quarantine. Instead of Vegas this weekend - I’ll be hunkered down at my sisters’ helping take care of my niece and hopefully not getting sick myself.

Sad to miss this trip - especially the Dumpling MasterClass, but I’ll be back to Vegas soon, I’m sure. I’ve got a 12 day trip planned for early September - hopefully that one will come off without a hitch. I’ll do a TR for that one for sure.
