That is very interesting. I would call. I don’t know what they could possibly be out of. I didn’t notice anything missing from it that they listed and I have had it before. It’s very smart of you to be making reservations for the spa now. My wife witnessed some ladies getting very mad at the spa desk that they could not walk up and book appointments.

We had a window seat so we could see the waterfall. We started with Miso soup for her and Lobster Miso for me. Both soups were fantastic. We then had a toro roll and a king crab arare roll. I think the toro scallion roll was just ok and not worth $20, but I definitely would get the King Crab Arare roll. We then had the shrimp and vegetable tempura. Tempura was very good. We then shared a Robota platter. I loved the truffle brushed mushroom, the shrimp were very good. Really it was all good, although I think shishito peppers are a little bland and there was more of them than anything else. The stars of dinner tonight were definitely dessert. The mocha ice cream was a man awesome cold treat and the yuzu passion fruit soufflé was to die for. We will definitely be back to Mizumi, even if only for the dessert it would be worth it. I forgot to snap pics of the Robota platter.

After dinner we grabbed two of our suitcases and caught a cab to Cosmo to go check into our room there and hit the slots for a little bit while we waited for family to arrive.played about an hour, had some decent hits but burned about $450. After an hour or so we walked over to Planet Hollywood and saw the brother in law and his fiancée. They were hungry so we walked back across the street, went to secret pizza and then went and ate it on the balcony of our boulevard tower 53rd floor 1 BR terrace. First time having that room type and we really like it. It feels bigger than the pictures show it to be online. Snapped a few pics of the room I will post next. Fam was tired so we sent them on their way and caught can back to Encore. We are both tired and gonna go to sleep now. Up early to check out, head back to Cosmo, and enjoy our Chelsea cabana we have all day. Good night for now!

Gambling is off to a good start this morning. Went down to the host office and dropped off a thank you card for my host just in case I don’t see him as I’m sure with it being a holiday weekend he will have many big players in town. Hit some .25 three spin stuff at 15 credits, donked off a $100, then hit some .05 and .10 DSTP Bonus Poker 10-play and went up and down for a while. Lost maybe another $50 doing that, then hit some kind of quick hits $2.50 max bet machine and lost the last of the original $246 ticket from last night. Then I hit my old trusty 4 game Quick Hits and quickly got free games on a $5 bet, won $209.50 on that set of free games and then started max betting for a little bit and very quickly hit another free games and for 15 free games that time. Got $462.50 on that set and headed back to the room up $346 for the morning. So the count right now is down $1000 at Wynn but only down $154 at Cosmo. Also, finished qualifying for gold. Now we are getting ready to head to the cabana! Can’t wait to see my brother in law and his fiancée again and have a great time. I know these aren’t huge wins but they felt huge after the start I had at Wynn so I’m gonna post the pictures in case any Quick hits folks are itching for some slot win pics. 7B7BB257-6952-40C6-AF6E-A9C62836871C.jpeg 445CE054-22E6-4124-9989-E22453A9ACC8.jpeg 8CD714B1-D924-497B-AD9D-463D015A5D20.jpeg 9CF0FEEF-4890-40BD-AA89-9EB678204B2F.jpeg 51BF77DE-3863-41A0-9F39-119A204B329E.jpeg

Also, one interesting note, just a personal observation my wife noticed and I would have to agree, we actually think housekeeping did a better job cleaning this room and getting it ready then the Encore room we stayed in. It’s pretty much spotless and all amenities were here. Not that Encore was dirty, just not quite up to the normal standards of Wynn.

Another observation and this may change as the weekend goes on but the pervasive smell of marijuana is nowhere near what it was in public areas during our pandemic trips. Maybe it’s just having more staffing or maybe it’s a change in the clientele but it’s not everywhere like it was and when it is present it’s not as strong and pungent and dank. It honestly never bothered us but Inknow for some members of the board it was considered unpleasant so I figured I would offer my observations.

Ok, sorry guys, after that last post I basically unplugged from almost all correspondence besides with the people who were in Vegas with us and a few essential work calls and just really enjoyed the vacation. I’ll try to finish updating with everything that happened this weekend. I will say, that was the best vacation we ever took and all of our activities including my friends’ engagement and my wife and I’s vow renewal went off without any hitches and it was all beautiful.

Finishing up this trip report finally, sorry for the delay in getting this up.

After starting Thursday morning off to a good start gambling we went and got checked into our Chelsea Cabana. We got one towards the back of the Chelsea pool facing the bar and a short walk from the pool. We really enjoyed the Chelsea pool, having only used the Boulevard pool in the past. It’s a little less of a party vibe which suited us just fine. Our cabana server and the cabana assistant were super helpful and very attentive. My BIL and his wife joined us around noon after bottomless mimosas at Hexx so they were already feeing good. During the course of the day we ended up enjoying the fruit platter and some Buffalo chicken strips for food, some Bloody Mary’s, got a bottle of Tito’s with mixers and a bottle of champagne with juices for mimosas. I didn’t take too many pictures but I’ll share what I had here. The cabana being a $500 minimum spend ended up being a tremendous value and would honestly be great even for 6 people as our party could not drink all that we purchased, although I don’t drink. The BIL and his wife ended up going to sleep after the cabana and sleeping 12 hours or so, I think they had enough lol. I wasn’t very hungry after cabana so we cancelled our Costa Di Mare reservation thinking w would go there again next time we went to Vegas. I regret that decision now knowing that they closed last night but we didn’t know that at the time. That night I think we just shared a sandwich from Lardo at Block 16, played some slots, and went to bed around 11 after spending all day in the sun. 48C42C97-3667-488D-896F-5A5E52C902C8.jpeg E5B32BC2-F929-4604-94A0-83A6453D435A.jpeg 95944C92-5942-4B5A-AC26-E6DA71BA3D7C.jpeg C66EBD0B-C8BF-4282-98A3-4AA0A23B9183.jpeg CFE3DB0F-7FD7-49D7-BBF2-66D698DE9044.jpeg C80620BC-A033-4060-AE77-C2B06EAECD73.jpeg 95724E04-2CD9-4D82-BD2A-522759C4CADC.jpeg 5C3A8013-EC8E-48C0-BDE8-FEA65B8A29D5.jpeg

It’s nearly impossible for my wife to sleep past 5am in Vegas since she is usually up around 4-430in OKC, I tend to stay up later in Vegas than she does as I will go down and gamble after she gets in bed but I usually don’t sleep much past 6-7am in Vegas myself even if I’m up til 2-3. We walked over to Bellagio conservatory and I have to say we were both disappointed. They seemed to be much more reliant on these big display things without as much fresh floral work as usual. In either case, we took some obligatory pictures. The conservatory is usually one of my wife’s favorite attractions and she was sorely disappointed. It doesn’t matter as much to me. I’m thinking it’s probably more due to a shortage of staffing or having to redirect staff to other departments because it seems the displays were more impressive during our two Covid trips. Afterwards we went out to the front area of the Bellagio main entrance is and took some pictures of ourselves out there like we do every trip. That day was probably the least scorching heat wise if I remember so it was quite pleasant. We tried Bang Bar at Block 16 for lunch and I got the spicy pork U wrap and she got the Chicken U wrap and they were both delicious and filling. I would definitely eat there again, although I still miss Pok Pok. We were going to try Hatty B’s but the line extended out last Lardo and didn’t seem to be moving when we waited for 5 minutes so we jumped in the Bang Bar line which was both much shorter and moving much faster. One of these days we will try Hatty B’s.

more still too come. We were there so long I am really wishing I had kept this updated while we were there.

Later that evening we had comp Bill Burr tickets and we are at Jaleo before the show. Jaleo was just ok, it was reasonably priced though and we both liked the look and feed of the restaurant. The star or the show for us was the Pan de Crystal tomato (I probably butchered the name of that item but it’s basically bread with some sort of tomato spread. The octopus was good but not spectacular. I enjoyed the Salmon Roe cones but they weren’t anything special, the garlic shrimp that people rave about was just ok, a little over cooked really, and the chicken critters were fine. We would probably go back there and just get two orders of the tomato spread bread and call it good.

Before Jaleo I had gone to the box office to pick up my comp tickets and op and behold, they were much better seats than the ones I had purchased online before I knew I was going to get Comp tickets to the show, so I electronically transferred the ones I had purchased to my brother in law and his wife, we met up with them after dinner, and headed over to Chelsea tower to get into the theater. 67D10ADC-9D66-45D2-B81B-623DFCF18FF1.jpeg E8C0D130-EB82-4E3D-A71A-AD28784AE9C3.jpeg 7997891C-B364-4DC8-97A7-30C1ADCEFF5D.jpeg C72F2010-645E-4834-B1D9-E106D183E080.jpeg

The following night when we walked back to the Boulevard tower on the the line to get into Bill Burr extended all the way to the Boulevard Tower. The casino customer line is a very nice feature for guests of the casino, as I hate waiting in crazy lines. Additionally, we were in the center section closest to the stage in the 4th row. These tickets were outstanding. The show started about 30 minutes late, I think because they couldn’t get everybody into the theater in time, which was slightly annoying, but the two opening acts were decent, and Bill Burr was an absolute riot and went for about 90 minutes. This was the first live entertainment show at the Chelsea since it shut down for Covid and it did not disappoint. I have been a fan of Bill Burr since the mid 2000’s when he used to appear fairly regularly on Opie and Anthony when they were on Sirius Radio. We have seen some other comedians in Vegas but this was by far the best comedy show we have been to there. We would definitely go see him again. They were pretty strict about cell phones and cameras and recording but I did get a couple pics of the stage before the show started so you can see how close we were. One other nice thing was we actually had an open seat in either side of us due what I guess is other casino customers not showing up. The house was pretty darn full so I’m not sure how else we could have lucked out that way. I am hoping we have seats close to that quality for when we go to the Cody Jinks show on our next trip in December. This was our first time using Cosmo comp tickets and we were blown away.

We also slotted around for a couple hours with nothing major to report. That evening we took my brother in law and his wife to Wynn to go to Wing Lei. We had a bit of a scare trying to get a taxi from Cosmo, the line was super long and not moving so we goofed it to Bellagio and we’re able to catch a cab much quicker from there to Wynn. The service and food at Wing Lei was great and super attentive. No shortage of staff at this restaurant. My wife had the lychee martini and my sister in law had some sort of grapefruit cocktail. We had spare ribs and spring rolls for a appetizers. Then we ordered the Peking duck (very elegant style of serving, they made three crepe duck burrito type things for each person) and the Three pot fish recommended by the server (super rich but super delicious, I highly recommend) along with yang chow fried rice and Cantonese Chow Mein. We shared a Mochi ice cream for dessert. Everybody left very full. That night I gambled for a couple more hours. My luck was pretty bad on the slots for most of the trip including Saturday night but I still had fun and stayed well within my bankroll while also meeting any sort of play obligations, as I got everything from our Cosmo trip comped off by my host on the backend (we didn’t really go crazy there, just a few meals as the cabana was prepaid) and have already received an even better offer.

Sundaythe 4th was the second best day of the trip for us, second only to Tuesday the 6th when we did our vow renewal because it marked a very special occasion and an awesome evening. We went to the pool early when it opened to catch a little sun and swim a bit. Then we went over to Aria to meet up with my friend and his girlfriend (until he proposed to her that night and made her his Fiancée) who were just getting into Vegas at Bardot Brasserie for brunch. That was our first time dining there, we got a pastry basket while we waited and it was phenomenal. My wife ordered the French toast which was enormous and tasty, although the almond syrup left much to be desired. Would have been better with maple. I had the croque madame, which was very tasty but also more food than I needed. I think if we went back for brunch we would just share a breakfast entree. I pretty much stopped taking pictures of food after our meal at Jaleo so sorry no pics of the Wing Lei or Bardot or any of the other meals later in the week. After brunch my wife and I headed to the wedding chapel to grab the orchids we had ordered for my friends’ engagement that they kind of had to jump through hoops to get for us and picked up the beautiful cake we got our friends and then went back and hid them in our room.
