    My Trip Report

It's been a long 22 days since I got back from everyone's favorite place. I'm currently in the Air France/KLM lounge at IAD waiting on my delayed flight to LAS. Odds of an upgrade are looking good, but I'm still pre-gaming with Taittinger.

    IMG_20210716_171615.jpg IMG_20210716_172049.jpg

I should be in the air in an hour or so, then to 4Q by 11 or so. I'm staying four nights. The plan is to pull an @eliza and get 4000 pts at 4Q tomorrow and 4000 pts at Binion's on Sunday. I'm working from my room on Mon/Tue before flying back Tue afternoon. Monday after work I may show the Cal some love.

Be prepared for pics of 4s to a royal, country fried steaks, and probably a steak dinner somewhere along the way.

Of course I see @Sonya's post about the new SNHD mask recommendation (https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/southern-nevada-health-district-again-recommends-masks-for-all-indoors.185956/ while at the airport. My prediction is that there will be no noticeable effect on the behavior of people downtown this weekend.

Good luck! I hope the gambling gods are with you. Tattinger is always a great way to start a trip.

Three hours until a dry heat. Seriously though, it felt like 110% humidity getting to the airport, so a nice dry heat will be a snap. At least I had a moon buggy to myself.

Got that upgrade, so the Buffalo Traces are $0 instead of $10. And the chicken was surprisingly good.

I don't plan on making it to the Cal until Monday. Too bad Redwood isn't open on Mondays.

If Sunday goes quickly at Binion's and I think I can give the Cal enough play to cover the triggered gaming day, I'll delight the bartenders at Redwood with my presence. And I wouldn't even think of not ordering the soup.

It looks like most of the downtown steakhouses are closed on Monday (Oscar's, Saltgrass, Redwood)...maybe I will hit the Le Thai's awesome happy hour that night.

After a long cx bus ride and a front desk with just one clerk, it took only five hands to get quads

A bunch of 4OAKs were front loaded. Ended finishing up a bit more than tip money ☹️ And now it's time to try out some ear plugs... my room is facing Fremont. I believe 4Q is sold out this weekend, so no chance of moving until Sunday.

I can deal with the noise for the weekend. Now it's bedtime for bonzo.

    The grind begins.

    IMG_20210717_075024.jpg

Got a couple quads earning the first 500 pts, but still down 1/2 a buy-in before breakfast.

I'm on that flight in two weeks. Is United now serving hot meals?

There it is. Would have been $570+ payout at quarters DDB last night. Just $125 at dollar JoB today :(

There have been quite a few loud fishing tournaments. "Place your hand on the rod controller!"

Also a bunch of vagrants wandering around, but I have rbf and ear buds in, so no one has tried to strike up conversation or drop counterfeit bills to distract me.
