Hello, I've been to Vegas a couple of times, but this will be my first time coming solo. One of my favourite DJs is playing Hakkasan on a Friday night in mid-Augus, so I got myself a GA ticket. Does anyone have any experience/tips for clubbing solo at Hakkasan/Vegas? What time should I show up to line up? Thanks!
I can't really comment too much on clubbing solo but besides the part of be sure you know your limits. Otherwise, my experience with Hakkasan (all like 2018 and earlier) with tickets has always been arriving around 10:30/11 PM and having a pretty short line to get in. There were lines for GA, Guest List, Table service, etc. Then there's usually a big ole line for people who are just waiting to get in. I believe your ticket will guarantee entrance as long as you arrive before midnight. Typically the headliner DJ won't get on stage until 1:30/2 am. Who are you going to see?
Thanks for the info...based on your reply and other things I'm reading I'm going to show up for 10:30 to be safe. A bit early considering the main act comes out at 1AM+. I am going to see Loud Luxury....Canadian DJs from nearby where I grew up. Love the music
Nice! I've heard of them but I'm not sure I know any of their songs. To be honest, going solo, you'll probably have an easier time getting on the floor and getting close to the DJ booth. One of the times I saw Tiesto there, it was nearly impossible to move anywhere. Enjoy!
Before covid, I've had GA tickets to hakassan and was able to pretty much walk in at 12am. Please report back. I used to always get my friends and I onto guest list but you always had to go in so early and by the time the DJ came on, the pre drinking buzz was gone. we also got sick of waiting in line for so long and being on our feet (in heels). Now we are older and we enough money to pay for tickets and would just like having the extra time to relax, get ready and predrink.
I was gonna say you don't need to be there right at 1030, like the person above stated with already having a ticket you should be fine coming whenever you want really. Worst comes to worst and theres a huge line just show your ticket with a discreet 20 dollar hand shake but i honestly don't think it will even come to that. Ive worked the front door at 4 major nightclubs (not Hakassan) here in vegas and you will be fine imo.
The only people who should be there at 10pm are the people lining up for guest list. The line is supposed to close at like 11pm and the further down you are, the longer it takes to get in. I dont remember what the average wait time was but it was like matching into the club like ants. Lol
Seems like it's going to be a masked up nightclub experience then? Seems like everyone will be in for a surprise.
Thanks for everyone's advice here. Very helpful! Los Angeles has had a mask mandate for a week or two and nightclubs have still be open...I know the performers have been wearing masks, but club capacity is still the usual. They aren't yet at the point where social distancing or capacity limits are required, but it could be coming, based on a letter released by the MGM president earlier today.
@Jsmile898 Based on the photos/videos I've seen from Exchange and Time nightclubs in LA, some people are and some people aren't.
Dont know if its too late but just read the fine print on the ticket. Ive been here thousands of times and never had any issues getting in at any time. I usually go between 12-2 and most times 5-10min wait. Its a huge club if you never been before. When they have all 3 rooms going its like 3 clubs in one!
I saw the Chainsmokers not too long ago and i made the rookie mistake and got there at 10pm and they didn't perform until after 1AM. Drinks were about $45 each if i recall just FYI, I could have been scammed needless to say i had the 1 drink and waiting til the show. Enjoy!
You are right. DJs don't go on until about 1:30am at nightclubs and 3:30pm at dayclubs. They make you spend a lot of money on alcohol before the DJ arrives. Some times the girls in heels can't last through the entire DJ set because they got there at 10pm/11am to line up for free cover.... Being a girl , I'd rather pay for the ticket, pre drink in hotel room and then last thru the DJ withoit having to leave early with my feet in pain.
