As the title implies, are there microwaves in these suites? The CET website doesn’t have it listed as an amenity, and I’m sick of YouTube.

I know there’s a mini fridge for storing my leftover Good Pie, but can I warm it up?

Especially if you have short hair and are traveling alone. o_O
Love walking out of the room with the wife and saying casually, “That hair dryer never did get much above room temperature “ as I rub my head. After 45 minutes of primping. By her.
So yeah, no one will question a 15 minute dryer going…..but there is a thread somewhere I believe, if you search @annbrown57 you will find  invaluable cooking leftover tips using a hair dryer and a gum wrapper / foil of some type. . Just you wait. :feedme:

    She was telling the truth.

The only non-High Roller rooms I know of on strip with nukes are at Vdara and Deluxe Balcony (and higher) rooms at MGM Signature.

No microwave in the standard suite for sure. Stayed a couple of times recently and last time being a few days ago.

You can use something like this at your own risk. I recommend the lowest 150W setting only and watching it carefully while using. Plug it in the outlet they plug the dryer into in case there's an issue. It is definitely not something they want you to use.

    Remember to pack some foil!
The hair dryer is my preferred method. It works best if you cut meat into smaller portions and spread out potatoes & veggies so they can be stirred around to disperse the heat. I use the to go container because the dryer it blow the items right off a flat plate.

Sometimes the in room fridges almost freeze the food so you might want to set out to “defrost” first.

    Have a great trip!

Hair dryer sounds gross unless you cover the food. It’s taking in air and dust that’s accumulated and blowing them onto the food. I doubt the extra seasoning makes it taste better.

Spoken like people who have been to prison! (I worked for a prison system for over 20 years and Ive seen both of these methods used to create some surprisingly inspired dishes!)

You should check out the HotLogic Mini. They’re $40 but regularly on sale for less. Lots of flight attendants travel with them to use in hotels without microwaves. I have one and it works as well as the website says. The case folds flat around the hot plate, so it’s lightweight and small to pack.

All you have to do is put your food in a container with a flat bottom, zip up the case, and plug it in. Or for something like pizza you could skip the container and use foil or parchment paper. It takes longer than microwaving but heats evenly like a slow cooker. And no need to worry about burning yourself or starting fires with the hotel iron.

When I was in the can, I wanted Manigott', I settled for grilled cheese on the radiator. You see where I'm coming from?

Only 45 Watts. That's about a laptop. Shouldn't create any red flags.

Is $39.95 the lowest price? Coupons or sales?

How long would it take to heat can soup and instant ramen? I might get one anyways to try out.

Also, chicken thighs!?!? In Vegas?!? CHICKEN THIGHS!?!!

The blue one is on sale for $30 with free shipping at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/HotLogic-Mini-Personal-Portable-Oven/dp/B00EC7XJ28
HotLogic’s site has frequent coupons and sales that bring the price down to ~$25, before shipping ($8 when I ordered a few years ago).

Sometimes HSN.com has sales or discounted bundles as well.

Soup takes about an hour and a half. Maybe a bit less if you put it in a to go container (but you can heat it in the can). I haven’t tried ramen but it should be about the same. Some people make pasta with the pre-cooked kind that comes in a pouch, but it doesn’t get hot enough to boil.

For reheating cold or room temp food, 2 hours is plenty of time to get it piping hot. And for frozen food about 3 hours at the most. The plate stays hot for 12 hours and doesn’t overheat, so a little planning ahead is all you need, and then no need to worry if you don’t come back to the food right away. Some people get really creative and cook whole meals in there. There’s a public Facebook group where you can see recipes.

I only used mine when I worked in an office, but I wouldn’t hesitate to take it to Vegas :feedme:
