The plan for today is pretty low key. No really.

Going to pack the suitcase back up (yup, I’m one of those that can’t live out of a suitcase) except for a change of clothes for tonight and tomorrow. Will grab lunch at either Chicago Brewing or Pizza Rock. Will make one more pass through each casino to grab chips. Then will spend most of the afternoon playing at the Club One properties. I’m still up a little over $200 for the trip after yesterday’s absurdly low micro-rolling and buying chips. I plan on adding half of yesterday’s bankroll to today’s and see where that goes. Definitely not playing for comps, but at the same time if Mr. Stevens wants to throw some future rooms at the D or GG my way along with some food credit, I have no issue with that. I’ll probably shut things down pretty early tonight. I’m definitely feeling the past 3 late nights and I need to give my poor liver a break. He’s hung in like a champ so far!

Yesterday was one of the chillest days I’ve ever taken in Las Vegas, but man it felt good.

Wound up doing lunch at Magnolia’s. Had the Country Fried Steak and Eggs. They could double the price and it’d still be worth every penny. Had the CB Root Beer while there and yeah…it’s pretty damn good.

From there, I hit each casino one last time collecting chips while just walking around.

After making a drop off at the room, I headed down to Circa to do some slot play. No big wins, but also no major losses. Played for about two hours on a single hundred dollar TITO while switching machines. Finally went zero with that one. I walked over to the GG and did the same. Bought in for one single $100 and kept it between $70-$120 for about an hour. Cashed out at $50 remaining on that TITO. Instead of going to the D, I decided to finish gambling for the day at Plaza (or so I thought). I put $20 in a 3 credit ¢.25 Top Dollar and played that for about 30 minutes with 4 Top Dollars. Cashed out at $30. I did a few more machines and put in the remaining TITO for $20 at this Quick Hits. I was down to the last $6 when I hit this.

I was able to cross over the $100 mark a few minutes later. So for about four hours of slotting around I was -$70.

I came back up to my room and was doing a wallet count when I noticed I had a $10 Matchplay that expired in 40 minutes at the Golden Nugget that I had forgot about. I put my shoes back on and went over there. The pit boss initially said it was expired because it’s only good for 48 hours. I showed him the expiration time listed on the bottom and flashed my watch. His reaction was a perfect Professor Chang from Community moment…

I put my $10 in chips down with the Matchplay underneath on black. Black 11! Woo-Hoo! Took my $30 in $5 chips and sat out one spin. Red. I put $25 on black in a small pile and set the other $5 next to it and told the dealer that was for her. She spun and sure enough…Black 11 again! I collected my $50 and the dealer got her $10 and that was it. That pushed me down to $-20 for the day.

I came back to Circa and grabbed a BLT from Saginaw’s. Took it up to the room and when I got on the elevator, I noticed this:

How do you lose you bikini bottoms at the top of the elevator door? Vegas, baby! That’s how!

Ate the BLT in the room. Fantastic BLT. I’m really impressed with that place and my understanding is it’s open 24/7.

Watched the Habs clinch back in my room while catching back up at home. Took a couple of Lunesta’s at 10pm VST and slept pretty damn soundly. Woke up this morning feeling great.

Plan is to grab a quick shower and then grab a Lyft here in about an hour and a half and start the journey home. I’ll share my final recap in a few days. Thanks for having me Vegas! Loved staying downtown and loved meeting new friends @cvkelz @cvkelz hubs and @Not at the table Carlos (and his entire wickedly awesome crew!) Go get ‘em hard this weekend, boys!

At airport. You know staffing shortages are hitting hard when retired US President Jimmy Carter is doing his part to help.

Nice guy. Said he makes about $500 a week doing this part time for the last 3 years. He echoed everything I heard this week. Shortages will remain in place until unemployment ends in September.

Before leaving, I figured I’d run $100 through a $2 VP in Circa’s High Limit. It went about as you’d expect knowing my history. Was down to my last $10…

I took it as a win considering how VP usually goes. Cashed it out and left even for the day.

Absolutely! I could probably eat there twice a day. The portions are huge and I’m still thinking about that French toast two days later.

Delayed on the plane. Here’s a picture I forgot to share. “Boy! You’re not a winner!” @MCann

Delay update: Weather is apparently bad in Denver. We’re grounded in Vegas until we get the all clear. They said the next update will be in about 40 minutes. For now, we are allowed off the plane to stretch, bathroom, etc…

Lots of people coming back on the plane with bags of peanut M&Ms.

    Including me.

Was able to grab an exit row aisle with the extra legroom. It’s the 700 series, so only one premium seat.

Time for another drink. Fuck me I'm still pissed off at all the failure to converts.

That contractor who lost that probably searched every floor but that one. Poor bastard....those things cost upwards of $4 each at Harbor Freight.

Saginaws is really good and having it open 24 hours is even better. It is difficult to find food during off hours.
