    DOUBLE CHECK YOUR OPTIONS.

Okay, here is the deal as far as I can see.

Half price off base fares. (Fare cost before taxes/fees)

Must book it between June 15-17

    Fly from 9/15-11/3

The cash rate seems to show with or without the promo code of SAVE50

Points books are also half price and only have the $5.60 fee - not the other taxes/fees. But you must enter the code

So, book what you can with points or cash.

@nostresshere Thanks for the heads up, but no luck for me. Our Fall trips were already booked with points before they devalued the points. I checked this morning if I cancelled the point trips and rebooked for cash, I'd save about $35 each way, but the cost of using points has gone through the roof. The same RT flight now costs 21,000 more in points, as do the future other two trips.

OK, I'm a dumbsh*t. When I checked mine, I didn't apply the promo code. I went back and nothing earth shattering, but I saved 13,000 total points on our Sept and Oct trips. Nov & Dec, fall outside the travel dates.

Thanks so much for the heads up. I have a Florida trip in October and have been bitching about the airfare. Even though I don't use SWA for Vegas trips anymore, they have a non-stop out of my local airport to Orlando, and I booked it. It's nice to have that resolved! And for the first time I ever I booked Business Select as it just made sense. Maybe they will be serving drinks again by then...

Agree, make sure you use the code SAVE50
Discount was *mostly* automatically being applied last night. However this morning I noticed it hadn't been applied to one flight leg I adjusted to receive a little credit.

That is quite tempting. As low as 58 bucks direct one way from DTW.

Sadly, they didn't cut the points cost in half. And while a deal like that is tempting, the direct DTW route is only saturdays which wont work for my next trip.

Nice, just saved $159 Bucks off my original booked flight. I've rebooked 3 times since my original purchase and have a total of $221.79 in travel funds...I guess I'll have to take another trip before they expire :)

Price wise great but to rebook my return flight on the 16th same flight will cost me more points.

I'm feeling a little more charitable toward SW now that I see you can use points. @Valgal, did you make sure the promocode was attached. It won't give you the sale price on points if it isn't. SAVE50 Anyway, I rebooked my Sept trip and then booked another one in Oct, which ended up costing a grand total of 1738 pts with the Sept savings. :D

I saved about 8,000 points rebooking 3 flights. So that was a fun and productive endeavor. I already had really good fares and didn't improve them a whole lot, but they did improved some.

I agree with others, you have to put in the promo code for the sale fares to reflect correctly in points. And you can't just "change" your existing reservation, you need to cancel that and book a new one. (I booked the new ones before cancelling the old ones just to be sure I didn't miss out on the cheap seats).

I guess the only way to do it would be to cancel the flight and rebook altogether. When I go to change the flight it is still higher points

Had that same problem. I booked the new flight using the promocode then went back and canceled the original one.

There isn't a place to put the promo code when you do a change. I had to cancel and rebook with the promo code to get the sale prices.

Thanks @Catzilla I cancelled and rebooked my 9/16 return flight and saved over 5000 points a piece. And, I got the later flight which my husband and I like because neither of us are early birds.

Thank you for posting. Just booked 2 flights from PDX to LAS in October. Comparing to today's prices, that's a steal.
