Went to bed at 6:00 pm, doubled up on my Ambien dose, sound asleep before 8:00 pm, just woke up at 2:20 am and my GF takes me to the airport in an hour. I just received a notice from Delta that my first flight is on time. 12 hours from now I’ll be at Encore….

Yeehaw!!!

Bingo Chuck!! Just arrived at a very quiet ATL. Having lunch at 9:00 am EST.

 

Thanks for all the kind comments and well wishes VMBers!!! Boarding in about a half hour, then four hours to McCarran followed by CVS and finally Encore; all before noon - local time. I’m hoping like hell I’ll be able to take a big time nap on the plane.

Seriously, have a great time and find those fun slots / atms. All of us stuck at home are counting on you.

 

When I was a kid I remember whenever my Dad saw something he really liked he’d say “That’s the cat’s ass!!” Well, my Pop would definitely be saying that right now. Been flying Delta FC for years and never had one of these bad boys. The seat reclines completely into a bed. Time for that nap.

 

One of the few COVID perks is getting the big boy planes on domestic flights. I’m riding one in to LAS from Dallas. Shame that the flight is so short but praying for clear skies so I can finally enjoy the Grand Canyon view without peering over others from the aisle seat.

I think that is a "true" Delta One seat. I paid for Delta One twice, going to and from Vegas during my most recent trip, but the cabin basically felt like business class. It was a major let down. Plane configuration with Delta really matters in terms of what you will get if you are paying for a premium seat. That is a major SCORE that you got a "real" FC/DO seat and you are not even yet in Vegas! That's a great omen for what we all pray but really know will be a wonderfully epic trip!
