    *cough*
And actually, as I think about it, wasn't one of the recent attempts on the Bellagio poker room cage? That seems like a terrible option: in it's own room, which is pretty far away from any exits

@Ty. I want to see pictures of the “purported “ robbery suspects. :hmmm: I recognize the pattern of stupidity. At worst it’s relative (s). :)

In my mind a picture a bad criminal trying to use the monorail for a getaway.

    That’s not bad…LOL.

I don’t think you have to be a criminal to wonder, WTF are these people thinking???

But my first thought would be shortest distance to the outside world….

I know they don't do this anymore, but back in the days of coins, they used to have change attendants wander the floor and at the Stardust they had these "huts" out on the floor where the attendants would stop and fill their apron up with coin rolls.

I was watching one morning as they were filling one of these huts, with two guards with guns and a "suit" all crowded around as the cash guy loaded what looked to be a gazillion dollars of coins into the hut for the day.

I noticed that the hut had what appeared to be a fairly flimsy lock, and wondered if anyone had thought of crow-bar-ing one of those open and making a run for it.

And you have the added advantage over law enforcement in that an experienced Godolier is adept at leaving the scene without the victim realising he has been relieved of his entire net worth

Not the brightest bulb on the sign!

What was he gonna do? Go back the Cosmo cage and cash the chips in?

I also assume that these were the high-tech chips that could be invalidated at the press of a button.

    I know they won't share. Maybe they'll throw a another low-country boil.

If you rob the cage are you expected to tip the cashier? And is it a standard % amount? American customs always confuse me

I remember a number of years ago someone or somebodies robbed Harrah's from the front door. I wish that I could recall the details.

Interesting, now that I think about it casino cages are never near the entrance.

If you are going to attempt criminal activity, robbing the cage at a major casino seems very high risk and low reward to me. You're also going to be filmed doing it, for God's sake.

Almost all of the ones downtown are close to a street or exit door.

Not that long ago, I remember being at maybe Fremont or MSS and they were filling the coin droppers. They actually got the coins from the cabinet underneath the machine! It seems to me that all you would have to do is give that cabinet door a good swift kick and then grab those bags of quarters! They wouldn’t be heavy or conspicuous at all!!
