Because of course there is a $10 table at Bellagio! Never would have thought to look there.

Friday night at the Cosmopolitan saw $50/$100 minimums all around. I did not see one $25 table open Friday night. Wynn was $25/higher, with quite a few $50/$100 tables. Palazzo was mostly $25, with one $50.

I was at the Bellagio Fri - Mon starting may 21st, and while I wasn't hunting, the weekend I don't recall seeing a craps table on the strip below $25, ever.

In search of a cheaper table after getting obliterated at the $25 table at Bellagio, I walked to Paris and same thing, three tables open, all $25 on Saturday. I'm going back in July so maybe I'll do some more wandering to find lower mins.. $25 is fun and all, but I'm really a $5 craps player, so the losses at $25 are painful to experience

I forgot that we did go to Ellis Island on Friday night and there was a $10 table rolling, but it was full and with people waiting.

Unfortunately, as we separate 3/2 vs 6/5 for blackjack and 00 vs 000 for roulette, we'll likely have to specify whether the craps table is normal or crapless.....especially at the MGM-owned places.

The math is easier at a $25 table: buy-in for $500, not $100. Green chips are the new red, red chips count as white. Only problem was that I thought that I was going to have a heart attack after the first fifteen minutes, and I was winning! I can stand a ten dollar table, but I make fewer place bets.

Craps workers being paid to stand around doing nothing, due to the $15 table minimum.

During my recent two trips you see this everywhere. It’s laughable watching the thousands of would-be players strolling through Vegas casinos passing by myriad empty tables with idle dealers who are twiddling their thumbs because limits are so RIDICULOUSLY high. lower than dame limits, put your crews to work and let us play.

With casinos open at 100% capacity there is no justification anymore for the sky high limits.

    Greedy and shameful.

I know plenty of people don't like high minimums, but let's be honest. A fifteen dollar table is not ridiculous. That was not uncommon before the pandemic. There were always empty tables. In the past I have seen empty five and ten dollar tables. But that doesn't mean the casino should drop it to a buck.

If the table minimum is more than you are comfortbale playing, then move along. Nobody should play above their comfort level. And coming out of the pandemic, tables on the whole seem to be more expensive. Just wait it out. Cheaper tables will come back. But let's not act like a fifteen dollar minimum is a crime against humanity.

I guess part of me is just tired of all the bitching. Sorry for the unpopular opinion

$15 minimum in downtown is ridiculous.
You could also take your own advice and move along and ignore the “bitching”.

MGM was $25 all weekend, and packed. Mornings had 2-3 tables open, afternoon 3-4, night 4-6 tables. Guess it depends on the casino. They opened a $100 table for us in one of the salons in the Mansion because the main craps pit was packed to the gills on Saturday night

I think a lot of folk want to play pass with max odds and at least a couple numbers w/max odds. I know I do. But if you have come bets 6/8 with a point at 9 at 3-4-5 odds maxed...that ends up being $255. That's a big wager (for those not in your league). But if the table is dropped to $10 min, that is $170...and at $5 it is $85. Yes, someone could reduce the number of come bets or even just play $15 pass...but degens like us on this board like lots of action. So I can totally see why folk want lower mins.

I noticed that as well, I was in MGM to get to Top Golf. I don’t blame a casino for setting a minimum at $25 if people are willing to play it, which they definitely were at MGM. I also think $15 at NYNY and Park MGM made sense. $15 in downtown casinos with dealers standing around getting paid to do nothing does not make sense.

Agreed. My only real distaste for the $15 tables is that the math screws me up. A $10 table, I know the numbers on; a $15 tables leads to wires crossing in my brain. But I've seen packed $25 tables non-stop. Much as with 6:5 blackjack, if people are eager to play it, then why not?

This morning at Planet Hollywood and Paris, 1 $10 table and the roll to win open. Ballys was closed, Cromwell $15 and Caesars was $25.

I know this isnt the thread for it, but the only CET casino with a 3:2 Blackjack table open at 10-12 was Caesars, so I played there. Otherwise all 6:5 BS... CET driving me away...

I understand it adds up. That's why I wouldn't want to see anyone play above the level they are comfortable at. I just think we have gone a little far by calling a $15 craps minimum ridiculous. Just my opinion and I recogize its not a popular one.

Also, in a broader sense, I sometimes get tired by the board's tendency to turn any subject negative. This thread started because @EastCoastVegasFan! wanted intel on craps minimums. Three pages later its devolved into an OMG can you believe these minimums rant! Even the context isn't emphasized. @jon95616 reported two DT locations with $15 minimums. But he also noted that those same properties were still offering ten dollar tables. So the outrage just seems tirseome to me. If the minimums are too high, there are a lot of alternatives

There was a time my base bet on the line at craps was $35. I broke the brains of a few experienced dealers with that one lol
