Top of the World??

Thinking about this for upcoming trip. Obviously the view and experience will be cool but how is the food?

 

Top notch last September..

 

Following, I'm curious too. I've never been in The STRAT .

 

Foie gras was the best I ever had.. Including in France.. Sea bass was light and fluffy. Girlfriend steak was perfection. Waiter also was 10/10... Great experience go about 50 mins before sundown. Beautiful experience watching the neon lights all turn on.

 

Imo it was worth the trip for checking it off our list of places to try but steaks were average and outside the view nothing stood out. Side tip women must have closed toe footwear.

 

I thought the experience and the view (obviously) were amazing, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the food and the service.

 

Just a suggestion.......make reservations for about a half hour before sunset....you get to see the strip in daylight and then with the neon....really quite a sight

 

So if I show up wearing a dress and sandals they won't let me in? Seriously?

 

Maybe open toe heals? But not flats. My wife and 2 other ladies had to buy other shoes at their dump gift shop. Note this is only if you have window seats upper level doesn't require that. Its a joke.

 

I’ve gone for lunch, dinner and happy hour.
The dining : food was very good. We had steaks. Kiddo had the Stratosphere tower chocolate dessert. Kiddo was super disappointed that THEY cracked the chocolate tower open at serving and it was served on its side. He really wanted to see it standing/whole and whack it to bits himself!

Apps for happy hour were good. Lunch special was very good. We had a lunch special with lobster.

It takes one hour for the restaurant to complete a full rotation.

Everyone is spot-on when they recommend reserving for 30 minutes before sunset.

I’m not sure they still offer this but, if you eat at Top of the World restaurant @ the Strat you can save your receipt and take the elevator up to the observatory for free admission.

 

This sums it up perfectly.

They used to (not sure if they still do) have a pretty good happy hour and we would always go there for a snack and drinks before going to real dinner lol.

 

This sounds like more of a safety thing than a dress code based on the difference on seating location. There are some gnarly rotating restaurant accident stories out there.
