    Night In Paradise

    Netflix

    Korean gangster movie

Not bad, tries a bit too much melodramatic especially with music, makes it a bit of long run.

    Without Remorse - Prime

I'm sure I've read the book but can't really remember

Movie was at best fine. Pedestrian and forgettable.

The mid-credits teaser scene gets me excited as I devoured that book

Watching “Nightcrawler” again. Once you’ve seen it a few times it’s less overwhelming and you can appreciate the details. Really dark tho, nice shots of LA or what I assume is LA

Need to watch “Twin Peaks” again before it leaves Netflix.

We just started watching Big Mouth, an hysterically funny and wildly inappropriate cartoon. First episode is about puberty and masturbating, 2nd episode is about periods. Middle schoolers. Cannot wait to see the rest!!!

I’ve been seeing clips on TikTok, and finally was intrigued enough to watch season one of Why Women Kill, streaming on Paramount! Really good!

Saw your post yesterday and watched it last night. Good movie. Definitely dark, in a film noir fashion, but Jake Gyllenhaal really pulled it off well by making his character comical as well as desperate. For almost the entire movie I was thinking a younger Nick Nolte would have been great in that role.

Binged Kominsky Method this weekend. Appreciated their handling of forced changes.

Watched Halston a few weeks ago. Worth watching, good performance by MacGregor. But really, I appreciated the presentation of the era more than the man's life.

Yeah Nick was a pretty bad dude in that movie "Q&A" so I can see him in it. Jake Gyllenhaal's character is so odd in "Zodiac" (which I also re-watched recently) and so his weird vibe carried over to "Nightcrawler" smoothly for me.

Having 80's weekend here - watched "Elvira Mistress of the Dark" and currently watching "Warlock."

Also planning to re-watch 3 by Aki Kaurismaki: "Leningrad Cowboys", "La Vie de Boheme", and "Le Havre". All really great, definitely an unsung director, at least in my circles. Good thing it's been rainy and 50 degrees all weekend!

Just got done with The Beauty and the Baker. It was pretty cute. Now time to find something in my list to binge and download since I have a week and a half long trip coming up in a couple weeks.

I binge watched Panic on Prime. Was decent. A limited series where a coming of age movie meets Fear Factor.

Nancy McKeon (Jo from The Facts of Life) and Bonnie Bedelia (Holly Genarro from Die Hard) had minor roles. Was tough to recognize either of them.
