So I called Resorts World today asking if they plan on matching Tiers from other casinos and they said yes.

They took down my information + player cards from other casinos and was told my play will be reviewed and a host will reach out.

I guess my question is how can Resort World review my play if they are not associated with MLife or Cosmo?

I am guessing based on the lack of response that not many people are sure if Resorts World even can. I am thinking that when a host calls you that they will verify with you your play and the person you were talking to is still trying to figure it out. Some hosts may ask for win/loss statements such as Cosmopolitan.

It is good news that they might match statuses so thanks for sharing that. How did you get a hold of someone to talk about the status match? Did you have to speak to an operator then get transferred to their casino department?

Maybe they will call and request win/loss statement like you mentioned.

yes, I called and asked to speak with a casino host or someone in their player card department.

I will try to remember to update this post.

Circa just did something similar when they did tier matches. Didn't see anyone find an explanation of HOW they did it - but apparently they did SOMETHING, because it was taking a few days for the match.

I think when the host said they would review your play that meant for room offers.

Status matching I think they don't need to review your play for and simply need to take a picture of your card to verify authenticity.

So review play means for comps I am assuming.

Hosts talk to other hosts at competing properties as 1 offs (eg MLife host will talk to CET host) to validate someone’s play level when needed, particularly when a player has a big front end ask with claims of big play to warrant such. This protects the hosts as they won’t get burned and overcomp players they don’t know well yet but has the potential to be a good add to their book. Would be very surprised if this were the case for status match as I’m sure they’ll be processing thousands and thousands of requests.

It well could be just a vague/random statement and they are just going to review your cards to match your status.

Or, they have some contacts like the last poster mentioned that will share data from other casinos because somebody used to work there - bit under the table, but it seems it happens.

In the end, do we really know what goes on in the back room?

Circa said they were going to reach out to Mlife to validate my play and determine what tier I’d be. I don’t think they are. Also don’t think RW will either.

So I have never matched my tier with another casino. If and when they match will I get free room offers or does that not happen till I begin gambling?

You will only get a free room from status match if it is stated as a benefit for a certain level. Example is Hard Rock AC gives 2 free nights for reaching their second to last level. Otherwise free rooms are based on play (that’s why I say if they verify your play is worth it they will comp you).

Just wanted to update everyone.. a Host from Resort reached out and asked them to send them screenshots of my offers and my status.

I sent screenshots of my Cosmo, MLife and Grazie offers and status. Next day the host was able to comp me 4 nights at the two lower level towers or 3 nights at the higher end tower. I opted to go for 3 night offer. They also matched my free play and resort credit.

I’m booked for August…I wish I could have booked my reservation sooner but I’m already booked for 6 Vegas trips before August :(

I received my callback from a host (initials AR) and sent screenshots of my offers this evening. Waiting for my reply.

Seems like a good group of people working there so far!

It will be extremely interesting to see what they are offering and what the play requirements will be to stay at Conrad or Crockfords hotel...

If you don't mind me asking what your typical offers are or if I'm in ball park. I am just curious if my play would be enough to be worth reaching out. My Grazie is 4nights $250FP and $100 Resort credit and Mlife is $350FP and $100 RC with 4 nights

Cosmo is my home base - upfront I receive 4 nights, $500FP, $200 RC, concerts etc.. but I usually get backend comped for food and anything else.

mlife: I get 3/4 nights comped at all properties, around the same FP/RC, shows.. etc

    Venetian: 3 nights comped / $200fp

Also, bear in mind that while Resorts World is a "new" property, it's staffed with industry vets at the upper levels. I'm optimistic that they know what they're doing.
