    My Trip Report

My association's annual conference ends on 5/26, so I am catching a nighttime flight to Vegas right afterwards. The awesome Cosmo host Kevin who posts on here was nice enough to match an Aria comp for Wednesday and Thursday, so then I'll still have my Aria comp for Friday-Monday.

There will be a few of my typical features on this trip. Dive bars, for one, as @carolineno is well aware. Also, there will be DDB 10 hand Ultimate X $.25 at max bet, which has been hard to find around DC with every other machine turned off for a while at my locals/regionals. I also feel like playing craps for the first time in forever, and probably some slots for fun. Budget is whatever. I'll eat my usual 1-2 nice meals and then just scrounge something up the rest of the time.

What I really need is just a stretch of days that don't make sense. I haven't been able to get away and just be away from it all, because of pandemic/work/etc. I need to be up at crazy hours doing dumb-but-not-too-dumb stuff and blow off some steam.

If you're gonna be out there, drop any meet up info in here if you get a chance. I'm bringing my VMB bracelet.

Wish me good luck if you like me, wish me bad luck if you hate me!

Something tells me I may be Googling "outdated drinks" somewhere along the line, and then showing the bartender the recipe so they can mix up something they've probably never made before.:goofy:

This sounds just awesome! I loved my recent trip, but it was still hard to truly relax with the restrictions, and work hanging over me. I am so looking forward to my next trip....

Great question. I am thinking second row window seat. Seats are wider than the first row, and the overhead space is full-fledged rather than a little tight above row one.

This is always our "go to" seating preference. Window/aisle if the flight is not full and middle/window if it is. The extra legroom is worth me sitting in the middle (the Queen sits in the window seat). The one window seat on some flights that has excess legroom (seat missing in front of it) is a no go because the middle seat has little, if no, extra room. We often get that row being up to A30, but I never count on it. I think many value getting there first more than the leg room. We usually have luggage to pick up, so getting off the plane quickly is not that important.

Tonight I met a guy whose mom and daughter died in the same week. At bars, people feel they can tell me things.
