    Arrived on Saturday at 10:30am.

UberX from airport to MGM Grand was approx ~$13 - BUT I kept getting the message that there were no drivers available. Try again in a few minutes.

Then I selected UberXL, $19.50 from airport to MGM and driver was there in 5 mins.

A couple of changes in pick up areas that I experienced last month. CP is now in the garage near the colosseum. No longer at the main entrance close to the check in lobby. Golden Nugget p/I is in the garage across from the drop off area where it used to be.

I had an early flight home yesterday. Last time I had an early flight I couldn’t get an Uber/Lyft to save my life. So I decided to schedule a Lyft in advance.

No issues. The night before, I scheduled it to show up at the MGM Grand at 5:50 am. Driver was there right on the dot. Only cost like $12.

I actually got to the airport way too early because I was expecting more of a hassle getting the Lyft.

I'm here now and this has been my experience

    • Took a Lux Lyft from airport to PH. Cost $23, which is still less than the cab. And it was a really nice car, too, as opposed to, ya know, a cab. 7 minutes from ordering to being on our way. Driver actually got to ride share lot before I did
    • Lyft from Downtown back to Strip at 1 am was a pain in the ass. Took forever to find a driver, to the point where the phone timed out and I didn't know if it was still searching until the notification that he was on his way popped up. Probably about 20-30 minutes waiting.
    • Took the Deuce to get downtown yesterday and honestly that's the way to go. Will take it again today, and probably take it back as I won't be out quite as late tonight with an early flight tomorrow.

Did they take a detour to get around all that construction on the strip north of Encore? I read in a recent TR that it took someone about 45 minutes to drive from Wynn to Fremont Street during the day. Thanks.

There was a slight detour in the area of The STRAT .

Took 35 minutes to get downtown Friday evening - got on at Paris got off outside QQQQ. Honestly it would have been faster but at one point the driver had to get not one but two scooters onto the bus and lock them in. I don't want to be too judgmental, but neither had the appearance of someone who actually NEEDED the scooter to get around. Alas...

You also get slightly slowed down by people who forget to put their mask on, people who don't know how to pay for the bus and/or use the app, and the occasional person who makes a fuss about not being allowed on the bus with their 5 foot frozen slushie drink.

A cab, Uber or Lyft will no doubt save you 20-30 minutes of actual driving time.

But it's taking 20-30 minutes just to get a Lyft/Uber. Quicker to get a cab but you still often have to wait in line, depending on the time of day.

Thanks for this perspective. I was thinking that I was a long time in the BHX from the Longhorn to downtown,(not that it mattered as I was thrilled to know I could still board a bus) but now I'm thinking it was not so long at all. And only a buck.

At McCarran now, heading back after arriving Friday morning.

Overall the rideshare experience seemed consistent with what everyone is saying: expect a 15 minute wait. On Saturday night we went for El Cortez to Jerry’s Nugget, and the wait was a little longer, more like 20-25. Everything was very busy, and it’s probably not a really popular route. I was worried about getting back downtown, but it was the usual 15 minute situation.

This is all Lyft by the way. Got a Lyft from Plaza to McCarran this morning at 9 am no problem — the usual 15 minute wait.

And yes, do expect the driver to require a mask for all passengers.
