So loved reading your report every morning while sipping my coffee (in my New York coffee mug;)). Such memories you make and are kind enough to share! I'm sure you are excited to continue the planning for your upcoming trip with Mama!

Great report on an epic trip! Thanks for taking the valuable time to take us along with you and also for the incredibly valuable information you shared with us. Also, good news for your upcoming trip, on the Wynn website they are now showing the Encore spa open daily instead of just weekends!

Thanks again for taking the time to write the report, I loved every minute of it! The joy you exude from "fancy" to not so fancy things and experiences is something I wish more people would try to do! Looking forward to your next adventure with your Mom!

I had planned to catch up on the report but finally fell asleep last night at 11 pm Vegas time (which my body is still on) but it was 2 am East Coast time, and I had to get up at 5:30 am to a get a train to DC to see the best dentist on the planet to wrap up dental work that cost me mega $$$$$$$$$$$$$ but was/is worth every penny. Was drooling on the train ride this morning (I am blessed I can sleep anywhere) and for a moment forgot where I was!!!

I was sound asleep for most of the train ride back but I have a business class ticket so I said let me go get my "comped" :haha::haha::haha: non-alcohol drinks. Got a large dunkin coffee and a couple of waters but also paid for a wine and decided to try this canned pre-made Moscow Mule. Not going to drink all of this as I would get sick but I really want to try the bottled cocktail now that I am an "expert" with two cocktail master classes under my belt. ;)

Not a new job yet -- it's a process given what I am pursuing/what I want -- but feelers coming to me is always a great thing. The company I was thinking about last week I don't think will be a great fit though the conversation was extremely helpful to have.

Not a fan of the canned Moscow Mule but it wasn't going to taste like a freshly made drink anyway and one shouldn't expect it to do so. I would probably add more vodka and make it less sweet. Good to have in a pinch though or at picnics, etc.

I looked forward to every update. I feel sort of melancholy, like I just read the last chapter of a good book. Of course just like with Stephen King I just look forward to the next one.

For those of you who live outside NYC (and my guess is most New Yorkers have not seen this yet either), this is the brand new Moynihan Train Hall that is part of NY Pennsylvania (Penn) Station. It is part of Penn Station and connected underground but is a whole separate building across the street. It is in back of the historic post office building. Just opened officially in January. It's gorgeous, shiny, massive, airy and new and also means much more track space for Amtrak and Long Island Railroad trains.

    Bravo.

For NYers, I am now standing dead center underneath 8th Avenue and facing the original Penn Station, undergroud.

Heading home. It ain't a RR but it feels good. NYC is coming back. Lion King reopens September 14th. So happy for the many thousands in the theater industry who finally see some light at the end of what has been a long dark tunnel. I can't wait to buy tickets to different shows. It almost doesn't matter which ones. I will be in the audience somewhere though that week, which is when Broadway officially reopens. It's going to be an emotional experience for everyone, I am sure.

Will be flying over for Halloween to LAS on delta one, sad to hear it doesn't seem to be too good. Had another vacation cancelled so used it for LAS flight, and for sure not cheap! Maybe will be closer to Mint by that time.

I think it is decent service but Jet Blue MINT is just SOOOOO much better IMO and typically at a much lower price than Delta One flights, which seems so odd. But there are pros and cons of being a bigger (Delta) as well as smaller (Jet Blue) airline. Delta was still serving snack boxes to Delta One customers two days ago and yet JET Blue NEVER STOPPED serving amazing three-course meals with amazing wine and liquor options throughout the pandemic. The food and drink services, as well as the amenity kit, got even better during the pandemic on Jet Blue MINT. Major score, Jet Blue. The food IMO is so good that it rivaled some of the meals I have had "on the ground" in Vegas. Delta One both ways handed a Purell wipe to everyone. No amenity kit.

Delta though has pretty much kept to its schedule. Jet Blue kept changing its schedules so dramatically when it came to MINT flights that I just gave up and decided to try Delta both ways. I guess it was harder for Jet Blue to adjust schedules etc. with a smaller fleet and fewer employees. I'm glad I tried Delta though and got decent fares, all of which except about $40 was covered by my CET Seven Stars $1200 travel credit. Score Delta.

In addition, because of the consistency of the Delta schedule and the blocking (mostly) of middle seats through late April, I decided to sign up for the Delta Am Ex Platinum card, earning 90,000 Delta miles with relatively minimal spend, and just before my trip I did the status match with Jet Blue MINT, earning me Delta Gold Status for 3 months. With my Delta One flights to and from Vegas (paid for by CET), I'm less than 500 MQMs from having Gold extended until early 2022 as I just about met the matching requirements, which I have 90 days from April 20th to do. I also spent $25k+ on my Delta AE card (I put some annual charitable donations on the card as well as a big dental bill), getting me the spending waiver for Delta Silver/Gold/Platinum for the year. I wound up earning as many as 190k Delta miles, though I have since redeemed about 80,000 miles for a Delta One fight for January 2022.

That's one of the things I wanted to share actually as part of my trip report. For anyone who thinks they might fly Delta for a couple of big trips within a 3-month period and you have status on another airline, it's a great idea to do the match and consider signing up for the card as well, if it otherwise meets your needs. I'm patting myself on the back as I worked the Delta AE Card and matching promos brilliantly if I say so myself.:thumbsup::thumbsup: I'm already Silver Medallion through 2022 and with a few more Delta flights at some point this year, I'm 100% confident I'll be Gold through 2022 while still flying enough, especially with reduced requirements for 2021, to maintain my Jet Blue Mosaic status. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Seriously, I worked it to the "Points Guy" level!!!:headbang::headbang::headbang:

ETA: And yes, I read somewhere that true meal service will be returning to Delta FC/Delta One flights some time in June.

ETA + 2: In exactly 6 weeks and a few hours I'll be boarding with my mom our MINT flight to Vegas!
