    Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone popped the question and asked their significant other to marry them in Vegas? If so how did you it and did you hire someone to take the picture of you doing it? I know Paris has some dinner package where it’s included but didn’t know if anyone else had any other ideas

Did it a bunch of times. Always turned down. Those ladies of the evening/massage therapists/escorts are damn picky.

I’m dying to know what your ideas are @david giusti .I am a complete dork who was in the wedding business for two decades so I love this shit!

If you want my two cents, I always think something at least semi-private is preferable. It’s such a moment. What about one of those bungalow/cabana tables at Costa Di Mare at Wynn?

    Congratulations.

My proposal was on the floor in my living room on Christmas morning, but I've seen a few in Vegas. Some really public ones made me sweaty just thinking about it, as I hate being the center of attention. Be sure you know what your sweetie prefers before you embarrass them in front of strangers. :)

I think an amazing table with a view and a great meal would be a lovely place to do it. Eiffel Tower Restaurant Table 56 is gorgeous and they will help you plan special things like a proposal. (They made my mom's 75th birthday very memorable)

Get your reservation for shortly before sunset and enjoy the view as the sun goes down behind Bellagio and the fountains and the Strip light up.

I stole this photo from a TR on Trip Advisor.

I'm sure there are several other restaurants in Vegas that will do this for you, but this is the restaurant I chose for mom and it's such a fond memory for both of us now, I have to keep recommending it. ;)

As others have mentioned you've gotta go with what you think she would like.

I would do it as soon as I got there! Think about how much fun you would have the rest of the trip....wink wink. This may not be the most romantic thing but I would do it right after I got off the plane at the Las Vegas Sign because it is very close to the airport and a great place for photos. Then you have the entire trip to celebrate and she can take all the pictures she wants with the ring all over Vegas. MAKE sure you have her get a manicure before you go. It is easy to get her to go do that, especially before a trip and not seem suspicious.

I think you can rent a photographer through many different websites.

If you are come up with a plan that requires hiring a photographer, we have one that we used on a family party bus tour that we liked.. I can send you her info.

The now-husband of the first of our kids to get engaged set a high bar by sneaking almost everyone in the wedding party into town and managing to keep it a secret from her until he finished his proposal (on the Riverwalk in San Antonio) and we started cheering and clapping... Now the next in line is trying to figure out what he should do...even though I told him it doesn't have to beat that...

    Good luck and happy planning!

I did it last year on the balcony of a Cosmo suite overlooking a fountain show at dusk. It went REALLY well. Very romantic moment cause it was a little chilly that night and we took a blanket out on the balcony and sat on the bench out there. We were cuddled up and i acted like i dropped something and boom. Never saw it coming.
What ever you decide to do, make it as personal as possible. If she's anything like mine, she talk about it forever.
    Good luck!!

Get a car on the High Roller. You get Vegas with privacy and room for a photographer.

I did! On our first ever trip to Vegas from the UK, it was so nerve-wracking taking the ring all that way. Early in the trip, we had a helicopter trip out to the Grand Canyon, planned to go on a short walk when we got there, find somewhere private and quiet and do it. Unfortunately, Mrs SM discovered she wasn't a big fan of helicopters, so wasn't feeling 100% when we got there! So ended up popping the question on our penultimate day in our complimentary robes in the hotel room :D
Which was actually perfect, as it was no fuss, we had a lovely Vdara suite, the sun was rising over the mountains in the background.

Each to their own, but I never understood having a photographer to try and discretely capture the moment. Unless you're going for the big, public, theatrical moment - which was never going to be what we did.
