A Starry and Spectacular (I Hope!) Spring Celebration

I'm always checking silverware and flipping over mugs to see who makes what.

Sometimes the manufacturers info is printed there, quick online search, boom! You now own 5. Or a million.

 

So the not great news is that last night's gambling was not good and you know the week gambling wise has been major net negative when I am almost pleased that last night was simply "not good" on the gambling front rather than "horrific." It helped actually that I was still pretty tired and had the wonderful meal at Sparrow + Wolf so I called it a night "early" as one more sleep-deprived night was going to be pretty bad.

The fabulous news is that I slept almost eight hours last night. I ALMOST feel like a could run a marathon lol, but I it honestly feels so great to be well rested. As someone who had been coming to Vegas for now 30 years I should know better. Crazy all fighters are a blast if you are winning but you don't want to do too many of them as you can appreciate and experience Vegas beat in all her glory -- whether a massage, playing, a concert or a great meal -- if you are rested and hydrated with lots of water (can't really emphasize that enough for any VMB Vegas newbies).

I will be on my flight back to NYC five days from today but my playing will effectively end four weeks from today when I am walk down to Aria to have lunch with @drac999 at Javier's and then a quick packing up period before heading back to Death Valley with my guide for a meal at sundown and stargazing at overnight Tuesday, flying out Wednesday.

My favorite -- the croissant French toast.

 

Holy crap. Got a call from the concierge. Brunch Master Class started at noon. I had down 2 but in my sleep deprivation ove the past few days I missed the messages about it being moved to noon.

Had two forks of the amazing croissant French Toast, ran to Lakeside and then saw a sign really quickly that I thought said Tableau at noon, so I then ran to Tableau. Get there and they say no, it is at Lakeside but it is the chef at Tableau who is doing the class, so I ran. back to Lakeside. Saw the concierge and apologized profusely x 10000 though I think she was mortified that I didn't get read (though I am sure I received) the message about the change in time.

Funny thing is I was at Tableau at 11:45 to try and eat brunch but they were packed so I went to Terrace Point. That was packed as well and I had completely slept through my 8 am reservation. Apologized profusely in the reservation line, showed my card (which I have only done twice before) and received a table for one outside.

Back to Lakeside. I am walking to my table and I see @DaiLun, his BFF and @Chrisbeans, who I always assumed was a guy but instead she is the beautiful woman. Great to meet you Chris! I explained to @DaiLun what happened. He thought I had been delayed because of a handpay. I wish

So about midway during the class when it wasn't disruptive @Dialun, his BFF and @Chrisbeans made room for me in their booth and we finished the class and meal together. It was great to meet new VMB friends and spend time with old ones like @DaiLun. We had a great time and enjoyed some brunch cocktails and dishes together.
