It’s been implied here a few times but perhaps he decided to pass the dice because of the stick change. Many players are superstitious of the stick change and turn off their bets for the following roll. I’ve never seen the dice passed for this reason though.

It was fun hearing your story on You Can Bet on That's most recent episode.

Listening to YCBoT this morning and thinking...this situation sounds familiar!

One night at the Gambling Hall...
    ...followed by two nights downtown

I don't think that there is a downside to shooting the dice if they're passed to me in that situation. If I seven out, well I took one for the team. If I hit the number, I'll be at a very happy table and may very well be rewarded by the other players.

That WAS ME! I decided to call in after posting on this forum and Reddit. It was cool to listen to Dr. Mike talk about it.

I did call for the same dice when the dice left the table. :) I know that was his biggest question.

I like them. Most of the time they are very good, occasionally they are dry. But the garlic parm is the way to go. My wife perfers the boneless BBQ, which is also good.

If the dice were pushed to me I would be excited that the job was mostly completed and I only needed to roll 2 or even just 1 number for a nice hit.

I just listened to that episode today during my workout.
I thought to myself, "Hey, this sounds vaguely familiar"
Apparently you should have asked for new dice. :wink2:
