    https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/wynn-encore-casinos-can-operate-at-100-percent-capacity-2345782/

The Nevada Gaming Control Board granted the Strip casino operator permission to amend its occupancy and physical distancing requirements after it showed that it had 88 percent of its employees vaccinated as of Saturday, as reported by Fox 5.

All Clark County casino floors had occupancy restrictions raised from 50 percent to 80 percent on Saturday.

Wynn had been encouraging staff to get vaccinated, sharing videos discussing the benefits of the vaccinations and offering on-site vaccination clinics. Workers who do not get inoculated are required to take a weekly COVID-19 test.

Gaming areas at both Wynn and Encore are now permitted to run at full occupancy, and plexiglass dividers are to be removed from all table games and slot machines, according to a Wynn statement shared with the Review-Journal.

“Our employees and guests will continue to follow health and safety guidelines, including mask compliance, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all,” according to the statement.

So it sounds like as far as the NGCB is concerned the "eligible community" that needs to get 60% vaccinated is the casino employees, not the Clark County general public?

Yes, casino employees. Their health and safety is paramount but if they are mostly vaccinated that's great for guests as well. Win win for everyone.

I'm speculating on some loose rumors online, but it sounds like there is a "magic number" of employees vaccinated that is acceptable to the GCB for opening capacity.

Remember Wynn and Cosmo were the two we heard were actively encouraging employees to get vaccinated? There is a screenshot going around that seems to indicate Cosmo is over 80% and pushing towards 90.

I will keep my eyes open for an article with more detail on the benchmarks for going to 100% capacity.

I have to imagine this news will push every other shop in Vegas to accomplish the same ASAP. Here's hoping for some more good news over the next few days

I’m hoping by the end of July masks will be optional too. Especially since the avg high in July is 107!

That is for OCCUPANCY as I understand it.

Masks and some restrictions may still be in place for a bit.

Maybe more properties who didn't meet vaccination goals for employees?

The June 1st date was Governor Sisolak's target date. I believe that was the date suggested they could meet the 60% vaccination level.

This 1000%. The extra business they will get immediately in May and the amazingly positive earned media is incalculable for them and another competitive advantage.

That will be the timeframe when we will know whether the mask mandates end or last forever. Unlikely that anything after that changes when it comes to vaccination percentages and case counts, etc. Will be interesting.

Does that mean 100% capacity around a craps table, with no plexiglass and no 3 feet social distancing? I assume we will still all have masks on except when we sip our drink?
