My wife and I don’t normally play downtown as my wife pretty much hates it on FSE lol. However on our last trip in March we ate at Pizza Rock where she claims she has found the best ever Greek Salad. So now it’s a must on our next trip. So my question is where do you recommend we do some gambling. We are absolutely playing at Circus and probably the D. Recommendations on other casinos would be appreciated as well as best bars to hit up while on FSE.

I assume you meant Circa not Circus. Circa and The "D" have a good selection of slot machines and table games. If you'll like Video Poker the 4-Queen would be a good choice.

Do you play slots, VP, or table games?

Yes Circa. Dang auto correct. We actually did Circa and D last time so we liked that energy both had. We only play video poker when we want to slow things down and get drinks at the same time.

I play everything but my wife is primarily a slot player. She only plays video poker with me to get drinks and slow our level of play down.

If you want to avoid FSE altogether, you can play at El Cortez and explore Container Park and East Fremont for bars and food.

Best play for your parameters will be the VP machines overlooking the sportsbook at Circa. They have 8/5 Bonus in multiple denoms. After $50 coinin the machine spits out a free drink ticket which you can redeem at the bars in the casino or just give to a beverage server. Move machines frequently and you'll soon have a pile of drink chits for redemption. Accrued comps (0.2% rate) can be redeemed at Pizza Rock. Monthly mailers are solid and food credit is generous though the monthly F&B credit can't be used at off site partner eateries.

If you make it to Circa you should check out California one street behind it. And since the Cal has an umbilical connecting it to Main Street Station you have to check out Boars Head Bar, hopefully it's open by the time you go.

I love the El Cortez even though next trip I am staying at the D. But I know where I will play most of my Blackjack they deal one of the best games. It is off Freemont @Sonya is right as always the container park is fun. What other things do you like to do and we can point you

Drink service is a plus. I’ve personally never been to El Cortez.

Another option to avoid FSE is Downtown Grand. They have a nice bar in the center of the place and when I was there in December they were pretty generous with the drinks It can be kind of dead sometimes and it's not the vibe of Circa or The D, but it can be relaxing. Nice thing for you is it's right across the street from Pizza Rock.

It's a great place to hang out, drink, play VP. Its about 3-4 steps above the casino level so you can look out over the casino to see slots and table games. The bartenders are friendly and quick with drinks. And hopefully they will still have full pay VP. and scratch cards.

Boars Head Bar (BHB) is in Main Street Station (MSS) which is currently closed. As @Ty said above, very friendly staff, great place to meet people and just kinda sit and chill.
