You had another fun trip. Congrats on all your royals!

I’ve made trips to Kansas City Harrahs a few times for meets with another forum. Last two were super bowl weekends
Edith the host that arranged the meets passed away from Covid. She was a very sweet happy lady

    Thank you Nancy!

Thank you 3! I have to admit that this trip that several days I’d start after breakfast (7:00-8:00) and if the machines were playing well & I was having fun talking with neighboring players & good music playing - well, all of a sudden it was 3:00-4:00 in the afternoon:faint: Luckily since I usually play in the same areas the attendants will watch my machines while I stretch my legs on a pit stop.

I’ve thought about South Point but I’ve had such luck with CET & GN that it’s hard to get away from all the “freebies”:) But the time may be coming more to contained properties due to mobility.

Good luck on your upcoming trip and I’ll be thinking royal thoughts to you:thumbsup:

I will let you know. I was born in popular bluff, Missouri and lived in Columbia, Missouri until 1993. Moved to Phoenix then When we left casinos were just starting. The riverboat in boonville was open

Love to meet in Vegas if that connects. I like Laughlin and Reno also

I was born in Cape Girardeau! Went to Jackson High School, the Popular Bluff Mules were tough rivals. :D

Nice report, plenty of nice hits, but 5 Royals is an enormous trip. BTW, way back I was stationed at Whitman AFB for 3 1/2 years which is in Knobnoster Mo. I took several trips into KC, but that was a looong time ago. BTW, I like your Avatar.

I went to cape girardeau college for two years after graduation from high school in 1965.
Our most famous classmate is Linda bloodworth Thompson. I don’t remember much about football!

Thanks for the great TR Ann. How were the rooms at Sunset Station did you enjoy the property, and did they comp anything for you. We have visited the property a few times and played at many Stations property's and rarely get an offer, wondering if you fared any better.

Thank you Mr.Vegas! I really enjoyed the mini suite at Sunset with a fridge, couch, lounge chair, desk & small table & 2 chairs - I didn’t think to take pics:(. A/C worked very well (important for old lady from Missouri;)) and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic!!!! I have waist length, thick hair and it felt so good to get all the shampoo out in just a few minutes instead of spending 20 mins under the low pressure showers on the strip.

The only issue with the suites are you have to walk clear to the end of the building for the elevators and the suites are doubled back the full length of the hall. (Of course the ice & pop/water machines are at the beginning of the hall.). But the rooms were very clean & I’d say they had been refreshed recently.

The prior trip I Ubered out to Sunset for breakfast & spent about 3 hours playing 3/5 multi line quarter VP for the most part They sent me an offer of 3 nights comped, $100 FP & $50 food credit that I used on this trip. The desk clerk & I were just talking (no one was in line) and he offered me a free upgrade to the mini suite - nice! It was a Thursday mid-morning check in.

They comped out the resort fees, applied my earned comps & that left me with around $50 in food that I paid. The steak dinner at Sonoma was worth far more than that alone.

I really liked the music during the day - oldies & county. All around I really enjoyed Sunset & Sam’s Town and will stay there again.

Good luck on your future trips!
    Ann

I stayed there last year. The hotel rooms are a long long hallway (devoid of anything interesting) away from the casino and front desk. I almost felt like I was staying at a different property from the casino. Then, the rooms didn't have safes in them, I had to use the hotel safes at the front desk. So, every time I got in my car to travel around town I'd have to walk down that hallway, get my money, walk back down the hallway to my car outside my room where I left it the night before. Lastly, the rooms aren't that great. More accurately, I felt like I was staying at a Super 8 next door to a casino.

Ouch SMerrian, sounds like I should really appreciate the front desk’s upgrade - maybe he knew the regular rooms were:(

I do think my room had been redone - maybe during the shutdown? The bed was excellent, no breakdown in the mattress. Also, both the couch & easy chair cushions were solid, not collapsing which is usually the case.

I didn’t look for a safe in the room so I can’t respond to that one.

Good luck on your next trip with both gambling & your rooms!

Congrats on a great trip. And congrats on getting the entire first post up okay. I often read of people trying to make a post and it craps out in the process. Think you might have a record for the longest post here. Great job!
