After looking at the menu, I'm not impressed....can't even get an omlette for breakfast! And no prime rib, but they have "beef"...No thanks.

The menu fluctuates slightly week by week. Ive gone about 5-6 times when they were open during C19. On one of those trips, they had prime rib.

Had breakfast at Wicked Spoon this morning. We made reservations last weekend for it. For those that have Sterling and get the BOGO when you make your reservation make it for 1 and out a note that it's two people but you are using a BOGO. I was also wanting to pay with gift cards so I made sure to note that as well since you have to prepay and it only accepts credit cards for the reservation. Once there they refund the card and let you pay with gift card. I'm sure this would be the same if you wanted to pay with resort credits.

The breakfast buffet was basically the same as their brunch they were doing before. Still a good buffet and ate way too much. We have reservations for tomorrow for lunch time to try that out since I have the BOGO from the 10 year anniversary game.

I had a question about the online reservation and how it would solve the issue with BoGO free being sterling or using the anniversary. So they would just refund you back to the credit card you used for making the reservation?

Also the breakfast buffet had everything including the crab legs and prime rib like the lunch? Even if say you show up for breakfast at 8:30 or 9am?
I’m going to be there in couple weeks and want to dine here again.

If you are using it as a BOGO (two people) then reserve for one person and put a note that there are two of you so it only charges you for one anyways. If you are by yourself and doing half off for the Sterling instead, reserve for one but make a note about it needing price changed and they will refund the difference when you get there.

The crab legs and prime rib did not come out until "lunch" time, after 11am. There was other lunch type options during breakfast but not those ones.

We went last Thursday and smbrake is right, that's exactly what the hostess told us to do next time. We were very satisfied with our breakfast, everything was delicious. Those of you that are used to Wicked Spoon will be happy. So glad to have them open again and an option while staying there. I ate at the Henry and Mon Ami while in town, and my checks were very similar to the price of the buffet.

I tried to make a June res with no luck so I gave a call and they said they open up 30 days out, which I think is why some of us were having difficulty. Looking forward to getting back.

Just wanted to comment again after our visits. So I think I mentioned before we used the BOGO...reserved for one person since only paying for one technically and made notes that I wanted to pay with gift card. We ate there twice (both with the same deal), one of the days was refunded just fine but the other I didn't see right away. I gave it a little bit just to see. It's now been two weeks, my card statement didn't show the return. Called Wicked Spoon and told them what had happened. She pulled up my reservation and with no problems did the return. She made sure I got the email for the transaction and said to call if there were more issues. GREAT customer service! Handled it quickly and professionally. Definitely makes it so I will be back many more times.

I'm reading that casinos can go to 80% capacity and reduce distancing to three feet as of May 1
    https://lasvegassun.com/news/2021/apr/23/las-vegas-casinos-go-80-percent-capacity-may-1/

I'm going for a quick overnighter arriving April 30.

I was last at Wicked Spoon in August when it was at 50%. I'm eating there May 1. I wonder what will be different. I also see that self service buffet will be permitted again - that would be awesome. Will try to report.

Has anyone heard if any other buffets will be opening once the restrictions are lifted May 1?

I’ll be there starting May 12. I already have a reservation for Wicked Spoon May 13, but I’d love to hit Wynn and/or Aria as well if possible.

I haven't seen anything official. But other members of VMB have posted copies of job recruitment advertisements for Wynn buffet, MGM Grand buffet, and Bacchanal. So I feel safe in thinking some buffet reopening are on the horizon.

I know I'm the odd man out with this, but I hope that the Wicked Spoon continues to do staff serving. I think buffets are so much better and hygienic with this. I've been to a few buffets in some all inclusives in the past year. Staff is serving and it's a great system.

Wicked Spoon is easiest for staff serving since everything is in little plates. But I think it would be harder to indicate how much of something you want if things are served from a giant dish.

There's one bit of negative news on the local front here. I just heard on the local news that the local Harrah's will be "Opening a new nonsmoking slot area in what was the former Fresh Market Buffet." (I'm sure this was just a "rip and read" from a press release and not actual news reporting.), so it looks like that one, at least, is toast. In this particular case, the casino (Harrah's) is TINY, and they already cut somewhat into the buffet area to open a second casino bar shortly after they moved the casino off of the boat and into the former conference center.

This may not be of interest to many here, but it does give some insight into the thinking of the Harrah's PTB at the present time.

I went twice a couple weeks ago and had a great time both times.

Definitely did not feel any different in terms of seating and spacing from the prior reopening. And more than 50% capacity already.

Does anyone know why they aren't doing dinner service? Seems it's extremely popular and could support it.

Anyone visit Wicked Spoon the last two days? I've heard increased capacity, and serving oneself again? How are reservations being handled vs those who just show up? Thanks for any observations!
