GTK. I took some out but kept a couple of white pieces in. And yes, the weather looks like it will be perfect Not to hot and yet warm enough.

So a couple post trip observations I forgot to mention or just thought of:

*I think others have mentioned, Southwest has started a limited soft drink service again. So passengers can keep their masks on, the attendants hold up a picture of drinks with a number next to each one and you just hold up your fingers to indicate which one you want. The process was surprisingly smooth

*On the flights, I watched The Flight Attendant on HBOMax. It was really, really good. I was never a Big Bang Theory fan, so I never cared much for Kaley Cuco, but she is really good in this show. It probably doesn't need a second season, but eight episodes was a great mini series!

*I forgot that one of my sisters and nephew were arriving at Disney World today. They are going to Universal later this week also, but we will miss them by a day. Still, her call has me fired up to get down to orlando. A few more days!

*I received a text from my Cosmo host today and it looks like I can expect a very unique vegas souvenir in the mail! I don't want to jinx it, so i won't say anything more if and until it arrives. But when it does, I will post a pic and the story behind it. I am excited and hope it arrives before we are in the air again on Friday.

*The forecast for Orlando this weekend looks decent. Expect more pool pics come Saturday!!

One additional observation I forgot to post: as a result of my play at CP on Friday night, I apparently earned some tier points, but no reward credits. I don't keep up with caesars enough these days, but I can't imagine that's a new policy. In the past, I have always earned both at the same time. Weird

    Great report, thanks for sharing!

I've never played Bac but your report really makes me want to give it a go.

Quick question, am I right in understanding that you are betting on the whatever the last result was and hoping for a run of the same result to get paid? No betting on tie's though.
So a run of bank or player you win? Any structure in bet sizes or is it just your feeling about the next hand?

    Thanks

I don't talk much about my playing style or betting structures at any game because, in the past, that lead to unwanted advice or criticism (and I am not looking for feedback). So I don't talk about that much. I will say, though, that I do use a betting structure most of the time at every table game I play. I deviate every now and then (like a 15k chase bet!), but stick with my strategy most of the time. As bac, I don't always bet whatever the last result was. I mostly bet bank (probably 80% of the time). But if either side reaches three in a row, I jump on that side until the streak ends. I almost never bet tie (I do it every now and then as a joke with my partner or friends). Though lots of other bac players will disagree with me, the tie (and other side bets) are all sucker bets.

Really enjoyed following along this TR. Great pics and stories. Are you SURE you didn't bring that guy into the HL? Come on..... Be honest....

Looking forward to the next part just as much. Universal Studios (we are HUGE Harry Potter fans) was such a treat for our family. We actually spent 2 Christmas Days 3 years apart at the parks. Such a wonderful escape from the outside world.

You're right. I brought him there to protect me from purple people eaters

Ready to get away to Universal now. But the atest weather forecast is not looking great. Its calling for thunderstorms sunday morning while we are at the park. So fingers crossed the forecast improves!

Something else I forgot to report that will be of interest to people trying to get comped Raiders game tickets from the casinos:

while at lunch with my host on Friday, I mentioned something about the new stadium and she informed me that Cosmo did not get any boxes or seats. She said she believes Wynn is the only casino that shelled out for a box. Apparently, the PSL costs last year were astronomical (I looked it up myself later and it was a six figure PSL for good seats ). She indicated the casinos might get a few seats every now and then for its best players, but it won't be like T-Mobile where all the big resorts have boxes and tickets to every event. So if you're a gambler hoping to score some free seats from a casino, I guess play at Wynn

Host and free big event tickets are way above my bankroll but if lets say a big whale type MGM or CET player wants Raiders tickets, UFC, big time concert...., even if the casino doesnt have a box or season tickets will they go as far as buying them from scalpers/stub hub for their biggest player

Certainly agree. I was thinking more for the non-whales that sometimes get event tickets. Looks like NFL games may be tougher than T-Mobile

I actually don't watch a lot of football though I've attended the Super Bowl twice to support the Bills. Would love to attend a game there for the experience.

I still can't believe that the rescheduled date for the Garth Brooks concert is for the last night of my June/July trip to Vegas, so I will be in the stadium, though not in a box, on July 10th!! And I really lucked out with buying a ticket from a reseller. It's a decent seat about midway up but on the aisle (YAY!!!!). I was able to get a great deal, relatively speaking, as there was just one seat, which is what I was wanted, though single seats are pretty hard to sell as most folks want to buy at least two tickets.

Our post trip surprise from my Cosmo host arrived! The background:

Starting a couple years ago, my partner and I started a tradition of buying one Xmas tree ornament on each trip we take. As you can imagine, we have a lot of Vegas, Disney, and national park themed ornaments. For Vegas, rather than getting generic ones, we try to get one specific to the property we are staying at each trip. So we have a flamingo, an Mgm lion, a Bellagio fountains, a Wynn flowers, etc. when I stayed at Cosmo last year, I didn’t see any ornaments. This trip, I checked again at their Monogram shop and didn’t see any.

Rather than keep hunting, I texted my host explaining our tradition and asking if they sold ornaments anywhere at the property. She said they did not. But, this past December, management created ornaments given to employees. What made it sound especially cool is that the ornaments are made from pieces of the chandelier that have been replaced! So my host checked to see if they still had any and this arrived in my mail today:

Needless to say, I love it.

How beautiful, both physically and in concept. What a keepsake! I could see hanging that near a window every day, not just on a tree at Christmas.

Great idea BTW in terms of ornaments. I do the same thing, but with refrigerator magnets.

The get a magnet every now and then as well. But the ornaments is great because there is a str behind each one. And since we only pull them out once a year, it gives us a chance to relive those memories each time
