When I looked at the numbers, I at first forget there are 17 games this year.

With maybe 5 QBs going in the top 10, if you can pick the ROY then that team may be a good over bet.

I am going to Vegas next week and was wondering if they will have these and some other futures to bet for the fall?

 

I’m hitting the Chargers under 9 and the Pats over 9.

 

William Hill has quite a few books in Vegas. Maybe @UKFanatic can tell us if they have them, he is out in Vegas now ??

Oddsmakers for William Hill opened the Chiefs at 12 and the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers at 11.5. Kansas City won 14 games last season, while the Buccaneers won 11.

 

Steelers were 12-4 last year. I don't see how they fall to .500. I'll take the Over 8.5.

 

Im no Steelers fan, but I would think it will really depend on the Bengals whether or not they can hit 9 wins. They will most likely split the Ravens and the Browns, @GB, @KC, @Buff, Tennessee, and Seahawks could allbe loses

I'm not a Steeler fan either. I just look at their record. They actually haven't gone under .500 in 17 years. They won their division last year at 12-4. Ben will be back. Same coaches. Not a lot of Free Agent losses. I just don't see this team going under 8.5. That's a pretty dramatic drop-off.

Take the 7 wins you identified. Add ONE from GB, KC, Buff, Tenn or SEA. and add One from the Toss Ups we're at 9 without trying very hard.

I really don’t think Washington will get to 8 wins, and I’m an absurdly over-the-top homer bettor.

I took Dallas under 9.5. Figure 10 would be a colossal season
Chargers over 9. Don’t see them winning only 8
Jets under 6. Don’t see 7
Jax under 6. Also don’t see 7.
Hope to win 2/4. Anything better is a winner.
Got 3 of them at + money only Dallas at -120

 

At this moment I think the NFC North is the hardest to handicap because of the Rogers situation, obviously if he doesn't play for the Packers they will not win 12 games, but now the Vikings, Bears and Lions could win another 1 or 2 more games.

 

I haven't even looked at the lines til now, but I already started building my power rating charts a couple weeks ago. So its early, early, early, but my initial analysis suggests New England is not going to be as good as people think. So maybe some value on the under there. And KC is not going to be as good as the past two years. But that 12 line is very sharp. If the public somehow drives up that number, I would consider an under. But the juice is more likely to move than the number (barring a significant preseason injury). My analysis also really likes the Rams, which kind of surprised me. Still, all my ratings will get tweaked when the schedules are released next week, camp reports come out, and based on preseason play. So still a long way to go before I start making bets in august!
