Besides the $500 folio being deposited as RCs is there any difference from Vegas? I actually prefer that since NO has so much good food. I don’t want to waste my time there eating in a casino. I just want to be sure that it’s still up to $1200 reimbursed in FP if you book your own tickets. Limo isn’t an issue since we’re renting a car. Any alternative to the limo I can use or is that just a loss since I don’t need an airport pickup?

I took my final two 7* retreats to New Orleans. Be aware that in 2019 and 2020:

1)It's a MAXIMUM $1200 reimbursement and you MUST present tickets/receipts to substantiate the airfare cost

2)"Partner" restaurants take the RCs at 2:1 (200RC=$1.00)

    3) (corrected) A Ruth's Chris restaurant is in the hotel, but also takes at 2:1

4)What I did was take the limo to/from the airport and rent a car downtown (IME, much cheaper if it meets your schedule)

5)The Steakhouse in the casino is a very nice place and takes RCs at 1:1

I have TRs explaining each of my 7* retreats to NO.

Perfect thanks. I was able to get my airfare to $1220 so it works out perfectly. Memorial Day weekend prices I guess.

Not sure if it is just me but I wouldn't use my trip to NO. Typically speaking after 2 hours of gambling I go to the high limit area and they give me $800 for the airfare credit. I think I also get 15,000 reward credits every time I show up as well. So all in all the benefits are just a bit less than the 7 star trip.

I have to use 2 this year and tickets to Vegas are dirt cheap from Seattle so I lose a lot of value in the airfare credit. I’m going to Biloxi right after for the 7x tier multiplier so it worked out quite well.

Is there any advantage to taking a 7* trip to a 2021 7* Signature event?

(Still trying to fixure out what a 7* Signature event is? Based on some old @DaiLun posts it sounds like a gift, food credit, and drawing?)

If you live West of Vegas (a lot of Vegas frequenters do live in CA) you can either drive or take a short/cheap flight to Vegas while NOLA is more expensive. For many CAers, we see the "free" trip to NOLA as a huge perk. You also get the RC loaded and can use them later vs certificates which are use or lose on that retreat (unless they changed the terms).

I have written TRs on the 2016 (Atlantic City) and 2017 (Las Vegas)
events. I chose not to go in 2018 and 2019, and resigned 7* membership in 2020.

    And. . . why I didn't go to the 2018 event

    https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/7-signature-event-wow-cet-has-really-cut-back.159863/#post-1789033

IMHO, In 2016 and 2017 they were quite "fun" to go to, but in 2018, they started "cheapening" the experiences, so much that if you didn't call to reserve and book your events within 72 hours after they announced that reservations were open, all of the "good" events were booked.

I can't imaging that they will have gotten any better.

Things that I disliked about the 2018 and 2019 events

    1) Entertainment that I didn't care to see
    2) Competing with all the other 7* for restaurants
3)The general crowds of people "flaunting" their 7* status

If you need an excuse to visit Las Vegas, I would think that there are better times to go, but that's just my opinion.

the only place to eat inside the casino is The Steakhouse and not sure if its open but maybe Fudruckers so you are pretty much going to be enjoying food outside the casino

definitely not the original restaurant but still good and as you mentioned, in the hotel lobby

as for Harrahs property and the city as a whole. they did bump capacities up a bit and extend the closing time for place...that did get Harrahs to open the Masquerade bar and Hoodoo lounge for bar service, but only Thurs-Sunday

unless things changed or we just had a lazy person at entry. they no longer are doing temp checks...mask on and the lady didnt even ask for my ID

I see they are having a 7 Stars signature event in Reno this year at The Row...I would actually consider that since I have not been to Reno in years. I also figure fewer people would go there and it would be less “competition” with other Seven Stars guests for, well, everything.

I can just see it now: “we know you are accustomed to luxury, so we are offering you a chance to stay in one of our deluxe rooms at Circus Circus Reno...” LOL

I am just laughing because they often refer to their subpar hotels as “luxurious” and they actually use the phrasing “we know you are accustomed to luxury” in their Seven Stars marketing piece. Perhaps I am, but you calling your lumpy pillows and plastic cups at Harrahs Joliet “luxurious” doesn’t make it so :)

By "original" I meant "1st in the chain". They were founded in New Orleans in 1965.

I've stayed in a suite at Eldorado. It wasn't that bad. I'm sure that it was better than the Suite floor at Harrahs Reno, which was a throwback to the 70's.
