Yes it is... it is indeed... Although I've handled myself well under the radar recently.

Over/Under for Waffle House Breakfasts is now 2.5. But since the bet is currently “in play” no more bets. Cheese on the hash browns o/u is 2.

Ooooh I would have taken the under on that one, cause I have a metric shit-ton of RC and since I'm tripped every day here..

So, the flight was fullllll from ABE. It was a former USAir 737-400, 30.1 yrs of service. Somehow I got seated in the old firstclass cabin, score..... But we had to sit on the tarmac for 30 mins as the plane was loaded with too much gas putting them over MTOW. (Max Takeoff Weight) But anyway the "blackjack express" was a smooth ride, and thank god we got a pack of cheese crackers and a bottle of water. Had we been delayed more, the hunger games would of started, and I'm a big motherfucker, so I would have lasted a while.... or provided a tasty meal for them...

We were there in February, had an excellent dinner at Patio 44. Magnolias was closed but we had a decent dinner and breakfast in the lobby bar. Last night dinner at Blind Tiger, had the fish tacos: salt on salt on salt! They even salted the breading on their fried pickles. Service seemed to be intentionally indifferent, and after my horseradish Bloody Mary I went into a salt coma.

I too have been underwhelmed by TBT, I actually prefer the PoBoy at Harrahs Mix and Mingle.

So, decided to hit the floor and do some gambling, the best offering I could find was 7/5 bp ten play in the high limit..... there was 8/5 job stp, and 8/6 job with a progressive at the bar (actually that's not too bad, I dont know the % off the top of my head but not bad for a bar)

Couple of minor hits, up $100 so far

Still waiting for my bag, it's been more than 2 hours now and I never have waited this long on a junket.... bell services is going to voicemail, so I assume they are working hard to deliver.... I hope...

Went to grab some cigar matches from the gift shop and the lady in front of me was trying to get a pack of smokes and only had a 5 dollar comp ticket, and then her credit card declined.... I decided to just use my points for it, maybe it buys me some karma. But....alas, they had no matches, but I can get from the bar lol.... But... my cigars are in my bag!!!!! so I wait. Actually, although it may never disappoint, according to Horton Fenty, "... Until you've had a good cigar and a shot of whiskey, you're missing the second and third best things in life !" Even if you haven't seen the movie, you can probably figure the best thing in life.

    Dinner at the Magnolia house......

This is my third stay at HGC and now my second time dining at the Mag House, the first was disappointing but I decided to give a second go.

Toya took care of me and apprised me of the specials which were available. The Soup du Jour was French onion.... it was a very thin soup, but had better flavor than the Range in Laughlin, it was accented with green onions, which added brightness and texture, something which I have never done in my onion soups, but may consider in the future... (3.5 slurps) IMG_20210328_204510483.jpg

I followed this with the roasted beet and goat cheese salad.... this was served with a mustard vinaigrette, it comprised of golden beets caramelized pecans, goat cheese, and a spring mix. While many beet salads have nuts in them, the sweetness of the pecans paired perfectly with the sharp, slightly gamey flavor of the goat cheese.... this was well done (4.2 rabbits)

    IMG_20210328_204515108.jpg

For my entree I had planned to give the goat cheese ravioli another go despite how I panned it the last time.... but, it was 86ed having sold out (how?).... with the remainder of the menu being far more carnivorous than my palette, I frowned.... but Toya told me her saute chef was great at making veg pastas.... so I said, go ahead, and said I like some spice, and it cant ever have too much garlic...and I was presented this... Papredelle in a cream fra diablo with beans, mushrooms, basil, onions, and asparagus.... This tells me there is good talent in the kitchen, and they were eager to take care of my needs..... an extra .5 bene for the special effort for a total of (4.5 benes) IMG_20210328_205840356.jpg

I did have room for dessert...but opted not to as many of the things described are things which I recently made, and ate too much of. But overall I would say it was a redeeming experience for me at the Mag House.... with a better server, and better food. Not the best gourmet casino room for sure, but they picked themselves up to a goodly respectable in my book.

That leaves tonight as a $100 winner, and tomorrow with no real plans.... I guess........I'll do waffle house for breakfast, that will make the betting line interesting.... Good night y'all!

Following every word. I am taking my first ever junket, and visit to HGC in May.
My gambling itch is getting unbearable, but I still can’t pull the trigger on a 5.5 hour flight in a mask, and I’m afraid Vegas will have a stain left on it if I have to be masked...so I’ll wait.

But, free air, hotel, transport, and only a 50 min flight to Biloxi I can do!

Are reservations required to eat in restaurants? I’m sure not at WH, but I’m going to come home fat with clogged arteries if that’s all I eat for Four days.
