The D Grill was closed when I was there in January. I asked a bartender at the Vue Bar if it would be opening back up and he said there was no plan to reopen it at this time. I guess that could change, but it's not even listed as a dining option on the website now, so who knows.

I prefer Circa now, music is still somewhat loud sometimes, but it feels less crowded.
Saginaw (sandwiches, a few breakfast items) & Jackpots (small coffee shop) are 24 hrs, Saginaws can be brought as room service (limited menu, $6 charge)
Prefer craps there, too, dealers are friendlier, more tables to choose from, including 2nd floor, limits sometimes $15 min, $25 weekends.

also very not smoky, I believe p told me he designed the a/c specifically to avoid that. The big open center probably helps.

Haven't stayed there for a few years, but I really like the place, even though it's a little noisy for my taste.

Have just switched my 7 nights at the Nugget to here, as I managed to knock $300 off the price, and add another few days onto the stay.

I like it there, though have never stayed in the rooms. Great restaurants, and while it's certainly not Bellagio, the casino is pretty nice. And the advantage of being on Fremont is that there are tons of other restaurants and casinos within stumbling distance.

It was my home property for a couple of years. It is loud. Kind of difficult to find a quiet room once the bands are playing. The casino is loud. If you are noise sensitive at all...Stephens' properties are not for you. I like the D, but I do have to be in the mood for it. Sometimes you just want to be able to talk to others or hear yourself think. *shrug* The comps used to be stellar. I'm not sure what Circa has done to them. Hopefully they remain a good value.

I’ve stayed at the D a few times and I will in the future. I’ve played there a lot and I find myself playing more & more there each time. I love the loud music & dancers. If you want something quieter, there’s plenty of options.

I’m patiently waiting for a vaccination so I can get back. Today marks 1 yr since I was there, I can’t wait to get back.

I stayed there a month ago. Zero complaints. The room was nice, and I really enjoyed the Vue bar upstairs. 8/5 Bonus poker at quarters with progressives at Vue, and good bartenders. If you're looking for a younger, busier casino downtown it's a good choice.

Since i was manly a strip player, before visiting the D, i asked this board if the music at the D was louder than O'Sheas at the LINQ so I can compare it to something I knew... I think some people here said yes. I was just there this last weekend and it wasn't. I thought it was fine, not even at the level of clubs or concerts which this board made it sound like. To me O'Sheas is too loud (although i don't know what the sound level at o'sheas is like post covid)... I actually thought the D vibe was amazing once the dancing dealers and the music started playing. The club one props are my favorite properties downtown. those 3 props alone make it worth visiting for me. Club one makes gambling fun with an energetic vibe, especially if you're a table player.

The D is like that cute girl back in high school that I wanted to love, but she wanted nothing to do with me.

I really, really want to like the D. It's my buddy's favorite casino and I could stay for fee with his comped rooms, BUT I give it a try every time that I am downtown and can only stay for a short time. I have trouble hearing people talk if there is ambient noice, and the D's filling-rattling decibels puts me on edge. I once forced myself to play craps for an hour there with my friend and got a horrid headache, and I don't get headaches. Sigh.

Oh the craps table there. Look at the dealer "Can I get a $25 9"? "A what"? "$25 dollar 9!" "What"? I just point at the chip and then to the 9. Hand signals at a game where I'm 4 feet away from the dealer and they can't hear me. One of the tables has a speaker right about it.

That was an issue for me BEFORE Covid at the craps table. Imagine having to speak through a mask now.

Last time I was there it was 2018. Me and my wife had a great time and got comped a ride back to the airport. Our room was a corner king on the 26th floor. It had an amazing view but was near the stage so all I heard was the band till 0400. That was my only complaint. Just booked my birthday trip back in August, after spending 3 years deployed in Afghanistan. Hopefully the Craps Gods look kindly on me.

If your goal is hearing loss then the D is for you. It used to be my home property but when my ears start ringing after 1 hour, thats hearing loss. No thank-you.

If you are a smoker, they charge (I think $20?) for smoking rooms on comped nights. Not sure they charge if you pay
