On my last attempt using these at the Golden Gate; ran into a bit of an issue. Ran the coin in for full value on their floor BP machines. Head to the players club desk to collect my free play. Back to the BP, but having difficulty loading the free play. Upon return trip to players club am told that it cannot be used on VP. I let both agents behind the counter know that Im almost positive this is not the case. I remain polite and cordial, but am a bit frustrated, Now; I try to load it onto a slot machine. No Bueno. Try another 3-4 various machines; same result Another trip back to the players desk. Agent states its because it cannot be used on a machine with a jackpot. I let him know that I have tried on several machines without success. He does some more button pushing behind the counter and then accompanies me to the floor. He attempts one random machine without success but then the second one works. So; I end up playing through the bonus on some random slot machine. Result ended up positive; so at the time I didn't do any complaining. I intend to maximize these coupons my next trip this Summer and certainly don't want to be forced to put the free play into a slot machine. Am I correct that those player club agents were wrong? How would you handle it if they say no VP on the free play?

The free play is not useable on certain VP machines (usually marked with a sign), but they are wrong to say not on any VP machines.

The VP machines across from the casino cage (near the parking lot) accept free play but the best I could find were 7/5 Bonus ACE$s.

At GG, FSP can be also be redeemed on the bartop machines. Paytables are poor.

I think Bonus Ace$ is the best that accepts free play. I always redeem mine at the bar top. For regular play I use the bonus machines that are linked to the Vue bar progressive. i just wish those machines were set to round to .25 like the D is instead of paying the progressive to the penny.

Thanks for the replies. I'm surprised given how many diehard VP players on VMB play through those coupons; that it cant be played on the better machines (BP progressive on the floor & Bonus Deluxe at the bar). Coupon just makes these about even Correct?

The bar does have 8-6 bonus deluxe, with a progressive royal. We use our free play on this.
