Great news!!! More improvements. Encore is back open 7 days a week starting April 1st. It's amazing that it's a year since all of this began.

Okay, back to happy thoughts! Great news! :)

So what nights were they closing before? We arrive on the 14th (Sunday) and are there until Friday. No issues booking a room for those dates so I didn't even realize PH wasn't open for part of the week.

They were closed Monday through Wednesday. They allowed bookings if it was more than 1 week out but would move to reservation to another CET hotel, usually Paris.

Awesome news! This is my favorite CET property. I have a trip booked for 4/5-4/10. I booked it at the Paris because I knew PH was closed mid-week. Now I can change to PH! I am pumped! Thanks for the info!

I just called and they told me they are opening 24/7 beginning the 15th so I will not have to move hotels.

One of my favorite all around properties on the strip. Great amenities (besides the pool) And Pampas in the miracle mile mall is still open if you are looking for a good buffet replacement.

Our host works out of PHo and I got the same email. When I saw her last weekend I told her I wanted her to book my birthday weekend there. Hubby doesn’t mind staying there when the weather is hot because it’s easy to walk to other CET hotels to play in. He doesn’t like the PHo casino as much as Paris. In the cold months we stay at Paris but we’ve had some badass suites at PHo.

    Happy birthday to me!

There's nothing actually wrong with the pool, and if you didn't know any better you'd think it were just fine.

It's boring. It's just a rectangular pool, or two pools, actually - one for 21+ and one all ages.

There are no frills, bells or whistles about it at all. It's a pool. Screenshot_20210314-134625.png

The only time I went to the pool at PHo was one year in September e the water was ICE COLD! You’d think in September that would be refreshing, NO, it was never comfortable.

    Happy birthday to me!

They took very little effort in it's design. Zero creativity. It's just a concrete slab with two pools. I almost feel like they kept the original rooftop flooring and just built a pool complex on top of it with the most minimal budget possible. Nothing about it feels like you're transported into a getaway paradise. Which is why, only during the colder seasons, I think PH is one of the better properties

Out of curiosity, does anyone have any intel insofar as how crowded PH has been recently? I'll be there next month, and while it's probably not what it was pre-covid, I was hopeful there's somewhat of its historical party atmosphere that's back. Again, I'm not expecting same-old, but any updates would be great!

Paris and PlanetH were crowded this past weekend. Most crowded I've seen strip since before COVID. Ironically, closure of things like buffets, shows, bars, clubs may have resulted in some overcrowding in public pedestrian areas (casinos, sidewalks). I even had to wait a minute for a taxi at LAS -- first time that has occurred in 5 covid-era trips.
