As far as Vegas, no idea.

The trick to eating catfish is it has to be farm raised. Farm pond catfish tastes like MUD. (seriously) They are bottom feeders and taste like what they live in.

If it is cooked properly and clean, it's delicious. If not, no thanks.

The Flyby experiment was successful, I think. No hangover, no lingering effects from a day of beer, didn't seem to be much of a stimulant effect when it came to sleeping. Of course, I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't stay asleep past that, but that could just be me.

I've found in the past, some of the electrolyte drinks, drip drop, etc have a lot of sugar, or something, in them and pounding a few of those before bed tends to keep me from sleeping well. Drip drop in the morning though can be a savior. Esp when the major side effect of the BP pill you take is dehydration.

Time to get off the couch and start the day.

    Thoughts:

    1. That pizza looks good.
    2. My wife never does well on the new Walking Dead machine (with Machone). We did much better on the old machine
    3. I'm craving some real souther sweet tea. Any good places down there?
    4. Looks like you mainly play slots. Any idea what table minimums look like down there?
    5. Congrats on the slot wins. I don't play slots often, but when I do, it's Lobsters!

Totally agree with this. I'm not a big fan in general, but I can enjoy clean water catfish. I'd also suggest, if you can find it, gaff top sail cat. That's a saltwater catfish we have locally. They are omnivorous in the sense they will bottom feed but are also predators. I've never ever had one of those that tastes like mud, but they are considered a trash fish / bycatch by most commercial fishing, so they are somewhat rare to find on the menu in a restaurant. I'd be surprised to find it on a Vegas menu, but a lot of the coastal seafood restaurants on the Gulf here in the southeast serve it.

As to #3, the quick (not) service restaurant is called "Sweet Tea" and they claim to have good sweet tea. I'd say pretty much anywhere you go down here, your gonna find sweet tea. It's a lot harder for a guy like me, who drinks unsweetened tea to find a good glass.

I look at minimums when I go down.

Yes, in the south they typically ask if you want regular or unsweet, as opposed to the north where they ask regular or sweet.

and then look at you with the "I don't know how you drink that stuff without sugar" look. The same look I give people who drink black coffee.

Worst part of moving to Michigan 15 years ago. First place I went to and ordered tea, came back without sugar. I almost spit it out.

Love going to see my parents in West Virginia and getting good Sweet or Sun tea while I'm there. McDonalds is ok, but it's not the same.

It's a strange feeling going back to the room to put money IN the safe.

What? You just give them a look, instead of punching them in the nose?
    You are so polite.
