    My Trip Report

So after my back and forth and booking Vdara for my tues to sat stay, i decided to change it up a bit and stay at Cosmo for 2 nights after all. Here that @luck.ofthe.draw? Lol. Since im a bit old school with email and notifications on my phone, i dont get either, i checked my email yesterday morning and rcvd another Cosmo offer although i had rcvd one at the beg of the month too but didnt take up on it. The way i was feeling yesterday morning i said what the heck, i think i'll stay at Cosmo a few nights and give Vdara some love too. Come to find out after speaking to Cosmo that although my online rate for a studio suite was higher, i was able to get it at the same rate as the online city room rate, sweet! Making the call was a better option than what it showed online. Also, i'll only be paying for 1 night at Vdara as my other night will be comped. I'll end up paying a few dollars, literally a few dollars, less for both Cosmo and Vdara than my initial Vdara booking. I figured i'd stay at cosmo first few nights since i'll be eating my first few meals there so why not.

I've made a food itinerary a wk or so ago on places i'd like to make it to this time. Please see below. Not saying i'm going to get to all of these places but i'm really hoping to. Have made reserv at some but might change those to accommodate my location.

My plan for this trip is to of course get pool/sun time daily, an hr if not more, hit the gym daily, eat some good food, enjoy the weather, of course window shop and yes, some slot/crap time. Last trip i was at the tables lots. I'd like to enjoy the warmer weather this trip since i'm coming from 4 winter storms the last 4 wknds.

As i said, i'm not sure i'll be be eating at all of these places but i'd like to. I'm only there 4 nights so prob dinner at all the places might not be an option. I have looked at the menus for all of the above and there is something i'd like to try at each. Keep in mind that i need protein at every main meal and i generally eat something every 2.5 to 3 hrs.

Starting to get the trip anxies. I'll be at the airport in 24 hrs. im almost fully packed and will finish up after doing a load of laundry while i wfh today. Still need to put together remaining sm incidentals too in the see through bag. And need to make a sm target run too. Will get in a workout tonight too after finishing work.

My food options above were chosen partially due to me deciding that on this trip i want to try and visit flamingo/linq/cromwell as i didnt visit them on my last trip. It's not a must to visit them but a I'd like to. We'll see how i feel day to day and what my energy level consists of. Seems that on all of my past trips i couldnt sit still in my room for much except for at the end of each day. I'd like to calm it up this trip and relax a little bit more, not sure i'll do it since i tend to be on the go most LV trips. Vegas is not a place i can just relax in my room during the day lol.

Recap of yesterday's incoming arrival day; it was long. Woke up around 4ish am which is not unusual but felt that i did for sure get enough sleep although i closed my eyes night before around 10ish i think. Didnt want to pay the $40 uber to get to the airport so i ubered it to the L (city train) and took that in which got me right to the airport some minutes before boarding. Seems that i always get to the airport when leaving somewhere right before boarding. As i dont receive personal email on my phone, i was sent an email from SW notifying me that the flight was full and that i could have changed it. I found this out after reviewing my email account yesterday after settling in. the flight did not have any open seats :( and i would have changed the flight if i would have known that. I saw some at the airport w.only their mouths covered but after boarding, they raised their masks up.

Getting an uber took no more than 5 mnts if that. Checked in and was initially placed on a 40th flr but after some moving around i was moved to the 18th. Have the same room that @DaiLun just posted pictures of on his stay at Venetian/Cosmo this past wknd. Initially i was told i would have a room between the 20th and 30th flr; not a heights person here. Got to my studio room which was right above the pool with blaring music and was beyond starving. My plan was to get some noodles at China Poblano and a taco for later and salad w.sweet potato fries for the evening from Holsteins maybe. Got to the 2nd flr of where the casual eateries where and both C Poblano and Holsteins were closed which meant they were on the Wed to Sund schedule. But the Tekka Bar was open which i had wanted to try on one of my prev trips. It's a bar type seating and i did not take pics but seating was socially distanced, every 3 seats someone sat. I was very very hungry and ended up having 3 diff rolls, crab, lobster and scallop.
    20210223_124502[1].jpg 20210223_131258[1].jpg 20210223_125232[1].jpg 20210223_124858[1].jpg

I could have eaten more but wanted to save room for this tasty treat i couldnt keep my eyes off of; ended up devouring it in the room as i did a little bit of work. I was hungry and i dont eat these things regularly so it was very yum!! 20210223_141836[1].jpg 20210223_141818[1].jpg

I thought i was for sure going to take a nap as it was only about 3:30ish for me and in LV time it was 1:30ish but that did not happen after i ate the above with all of the sugar. I stayed and worked for about an hr or so and while relaxing in the room above the pool, heard the continuous music which was no bueno when you are as tired as i was. I thought to myself that there is no way that i will stay in this room for another day with the music and trying to relax/sleep so i ended up going downstairs and changing my room to the Chelsea tower (i was in the blvd tower) which has no pool. I had checked my reservations before the room switch to see what dinners i had booked for which nights and after still being hungry, the above didnt cut it, i decided although i was beyond tired, i would go to Catch at Aria that night. After moving to the new room i had about 1/2 an hr to get ready. Walked over the cosmo/crystals bridge, dont ask how i did pls and made it to dinner which was delish. I was seated at the bar which was an option. For future reference, you can walk in and ask to be seated at the bar w.out a reserv i was told. Dinner pics below; I had the Catch roll which was crab, salmon and miso honey; this was def better than what i had earlier. I also had the grilled spanish octopus with potatoes in a sofrito sauce, this was phenomenal and tied me over for the night. I was also going to get the mushroom sphagetti but was told that its a large bowl of carbs so i passed on that.

You guys are prob wondering why i havent and didnt have a bev w.dinner or throughout my day but thats bec i'm not a drinker and am a gym rat and those do not go hand in hand. I will prob have a vodka/cran sometime during this trip and would like to taste this blackberry vodka bev at E by Jose Andres that i read on the menu about. I didnt have dessert either since i had had that sweet donut earlier in the day, cant do both.

Since i was in Aria bldg i decided to get on board w.the gaming finally and got in on a $25 table, thats what was at Cosmo too. Ended up losing a little over $200 so i played Blitz for about half an hr after that and by then i was done. Feet were killing me so i wasnt able to cross back the bridge to cosmo and had to walk the long way back. Didnt have it in me although i tried.

Plan for today is to hang out here at cosmo, get breakfast and play some until the sun comes up and lay at the pool prob after. Might venture out in the afternoon but will prob eat at C Poblano, maybe Holstiens, possibly E by Jose Andres and Beauty & Essex. Want to get a workout in too. Will recap later.

Instead of eating at the Henry as i thought i would, i went and got some coffee at Starbucks and some egg white bites to tie me over. Thinking will get a sandwhich at Eggslut in a little which i havent tasted yet in all my travels here.

1 crap table was almost full and $25 when i came down. When i walked back from my coffee trip, same table was empty and back down to $15. Was tempting to play but i want to relax while i have my coffee and do a touch of work that i need to finish up.

Got a wrkout in and picked up this to have after my protein drink. Looks like I'm visiting some of the places on my list. There were maybe 5 people ahead of me in line and it was about 5 mnts to get to the register so not bad.

So C Poblano is still out of the picture for this trip as they are still closed today. Holsteins options were not anything I wanted so I walked over to Cafe Americano at Paris and picked up the crab sherry soup w.toasted brioche bread and a chicken tinga taco. I also picked up this treat at Brioche by Guy Savoy and I still haven't learned my lesson after ystrdays experience w.sugar as I was ready to nap and after a few pieces of this I was not able to close my eyes, ughhhhh and I'm a reg napper but not in this town.

Have now eaten at 3 of then placed on my list. Am thinking Hexx will again be passed up. Nothing specific there that I can't get elsewhere. Thinking Jaleo and Beauty and Essex tonight since they're both right here. Stk is not open until Friday I read so might pass that up too.

Still need to get to the north outlet mall and not sure if that'll be tmrw or Friday but it's a must. Always make a trip to marshalls out here as well, just don't want to cross that darn bridge!!

Forgot to mention that I never made it to the pool today either. Went down to see status of tables and 1 was open at $15 and full so I played my blitz game and that was a bust but that's ok. I'm here to have fun which I'm doing. Finally made it to that $15 table and rolled and won a small. Had a few other good rolls too. Another sm came up but I wasn't on it. Still came up ahead and won a little of what I lost at Aria last night so it's on a good side now. 20210224_145935.jpg 20210224_150202.jpg 20210224_151438.jpg

Recap of last night which was uneventful as I was tiiiirrrrred. After not being able to nap and looking at food options and not having a taste for anything I read about and was starving by the end, I ran across the street to PH shops and picked up something avail nationwide. I know, with so many food options why did I do that? It was the easiest and least underdressed way to get food and I was tired. Ate in my room and lounged w.my eyes partially closed after. Got up a few hrs later and then turned out the lights for the night.

Temps will be 60ish today so no pool. Usual coffee shortly and then maybe a real breakfast at the Henry downstairs. I have yet to eat eggs, not in a sandwich, the past 2 days and that could partially be the reason I'm so hungry each day. They are a daily staple for me when I'm home and I eat them 2x a day.

I'll be moving today over to Vdara and will try to get a late check out here at Cosmo. I've realized from this trip a few things, one of which I already knew and that is I prefer staying st Cosmo bec it's easy access to the strip. Vdara has the advantage of the kitchen and I can get eggs in am/tea at night at Aria so it's about 50/50 at each place.

Not exactly sure what I'll do today but maybe make a run to target for a few things since I'll have the kitchen today, maybe some yogurt and other nosh I can pick up and water too.

Quick morning update. Went for coffee and craps table was $15, completely empty. Picked up coffee and ate breakfast at Henry, they were able to make my usual home meal, 1 egg and 3 whites and I asked for hash Browns on the side here. Was about $21.
    20210225_061618.jpg

Had seen a blitz machine so I gave it a shot and came up w.nothing. thereafter saw a quick hit super wheel slot which gave some 20210225_071750.jpg winnings, yeah. Small wins are fine for me. Kept getting $24 3x, played it all down but had fun. Will return to this machine later since it liked me and became my friend.
    20210225_073718.jpg 20210225_073340.jpg 20210225_072943.jpg 20210225_072242.jpg

Decided to check the table out again as when I had looked after breakfast the casino was empty. Came to find out that that at 7am to 7:30am the casino gets sprayed clean. Got to the table after the slot fun and saw $10, WOW. Had to ask to make sure i wasn't seeing $100 and it was $10 and got on it although I was the only player. I don't mind playing solo sometimes and was not going to pass up a $10 table at Cosmo which is rare and a Thursday too. They needed players so prob reason so low. Had some good rolls, rolled and won a small and tall and rolled pretty decent all together. Another player and his signf other joined so it was just us 3. After good rolling and winning ahead, the bad # started popping up for all of us and after 2 of those I said ok I'm out. Finished w.this which I'm happy with. And I wore my Aria hat at the table which I felt odd doing but I guess that brought me some good wishes.
    20210225_084206.jpg

Need to do a little bit of work and then will gather my things to get ready to move. I did ask to see if I could have a late checkout and was told I could have till noon which I'll take.

The switch from Cosmo to Vdara is complete and went smooth. I was able to leave one place and walk over to the other via the connecting bridge can u believe??? I had to do it my way again so don't ask lol. I wasn't able to get a comp suite upgrade but they were going to let me have it at a reduced upgrade charge, I said not necessary so I got the upgrade from the studio suite which is fine for me and I'll be sending evening Paris pics later. For those of you interested in the Vdara rooms here it is....
    20210225_122257.jpg 20210225_122329.jpg 20210225_122304.jpg 20210225_122319.jpg

After I got my items situated in my room I walked over to Salt & Ivy at Aria 20210225_131952.jpg 20210225_124530.jpg as my appetite was starting for its next meal and I decided I was going to have a bagel w.lox there. I wanted to give it a try last fall but never made it. It was a good lunch.
    20210225_125452.jpg

Picked up some hot tea for now and coffee for the am. That's one good thing about Vdara, I'll be able to heat up and have my coffee tmrw as early as I want w.out running anywhere to get it.

    20210225_134244.jpg

When I checked in i had told the rep how I was given dishes and silverware last time I was here and came back to my room to this in it . Will not be cooking any meals here for sure.

    20210225_134251.jpg

Will try and nap a bit, as u already know, not sure it'll happen. Obviously not making it to the mall today, at least I don't think so. It closes at 7 so it'll prob have to be tmrw. Target run might happen later.

Last night's recap. Got ready and took an uber to Mercato Della Pescheria, ate there last fall too. Had a salad w.chicken added and requested for their calamari to be grilled instead of fried which was also added to the salad. It was great and had fried ravioli from their happy hr menu too. First bev of the trip was last night. Walked back to home base via Cosmo which was a bit crowded for me plus loud which by days end I was not in the mood for. 4 crap tables all full and at $25.

Was hungry again after the walk back and picked up a salmon, egg sandwich at Aria Patisserie, no snapshot of it but it was tasty. I thought multi grain bread was going to be hard but was very soft which surprised me.
    20210225_183735.jpg 20210225_171143.jpg 20210225_173029.jpg 20210225_173359.jpg 20210225_173300.jpg 20210225_200545.jpg 20210225_200650.jpg 20210225_200703.jpg

I'd like some reg nosh stuff today although I'm leaving tmrw so want to make it to target which opens at 8am. Will get a yogurt parfait at Aria for this am until the target run. Not walking there as I'll need to save my legs for the North outlet mall today that opens at 10am. Will run down and see what table is at at Aria or hit some slots.

Recap of the day. Woke up at my usual 3:30am time. Yes Its early here in LV but for me back home it's 5:30 am which explains why I wake up so early in LV. Had my coffee in my room that I was able to heat up in the micro and lounge a little which was nice. Went downstairs to Aria next door and got a yogurt parfait, about 5 or 6 people ahead of me and took maybe 8 to 10 mnts to get to ordering. By the time I was done the ordering line was lengthy so good I got there when I did which was around 7am. Got to 1 open $25 table and had a good run and was content w.my winnings, this was my 2nd time playing as I've played at Cosmo a few times already. Went back up to my room after and did some work. I usually don't so any work on my trips but the wk before I left had gotten extremely busy and I didn't want to return to stress of having to do lots so I did a little bit here and there on this trip to make it better for when I return Monday. Speaking about returning, I found out Thursday after looking at the updated travel order in my state, that I will not have to quarantine as LV's pandemic #s have decreased, that's so great in a variety of ways. I think though I will wfh anyway for part of this upcoming wk, 3 days or so.

After working some although I honestly could have taken a nap, I got an uber and made it to the outlet mall. It was nice to walk outdoors, weather was about 60ish and sunny, I wore a sweatshirt. Didn't want chipotle or cheesecake factory so picked up one of those small snack box lunch types at Starbucks as I had points I could use for it. It had a small wheat bun/bread w.peanut butter, slices of cheese and apples and 2 eggs. That tied me over until I made it to pin up pizza where I was dropped off nearby. It was about 2ish by then and the strip was crowded to me. Line for pizza wasn't bad. They take about 5 orders or so and heat up everyone's pizza slice which is huge. I got chicken and mushroom w.a side of sauce, sauce was spicy and I could see the hot jalapeno seeds so I didn't eat too much of that. I didn't want to walk all the way back to Vdara so I found a nice quiet spot to eat at at Cosmo. U can always sit in a chair at Cosmo on either the 2nd or 3rd flrs in between the Chelsea and Blvd towers. 2nd flr was full so I had the 3rd for all to myself.
    20210226_141504.jpg 20210226_143038.jpg 20210226_141417.jpg 20210226_141420.jpg

I was full after the pizza and went downstairs and got in on a $15 table and used what I had won the other day. Well there were no winnings on this round I'll tell u and lost a good chunk of the win. Decided to hit some slots and stick around and played for a good hr on $10 at the quick hit platinum wheel which was fun as I kept winning sm amounts.
    20210226_161005.jpg

By then it was happy hr time at Cosmo and I still had that slice of pizza in me from a few hrs back but I decided I could have a small bite and went up to Jaleo. I was wearing sneakers and asked to sit at the bar. I asked the host if I was underdreased and he said I was fine but others waiting to get in as well as the host were dressed formal. I knew what i was ordering as i had looked at the menu before, shrimp w.garlic and olive oil, chicken crochets and potatoes. My first bite of the shrimp was very flavorful and same went for the crochets. Potatoes came w.a spicy red sauce that was good too but I eat potatoes reg so they were ok. I ended up taking the leftover potatoes w.me as I already had enough carbs in me from the pizza slice. I also ordered the bramble happy hr drink which had vodka, blackberry liquor, honey and mint. I told the bartender to make it not so sweet and go easy on the honey. It turned out well and not too sweet. I definitively would recommend to others on trying Jaleo for happy hr or dinner and I will return here for a full dinner one day.

    20210226_173134.jpg
    20210226_172948.jpg

I walked back to home base and unloaded the bag I was carrying from my outlet trip which was a lifeguard sweatshirt I've been wanting since my last trip here. I tried it on when I was at the Venetian for dinner a few days ago but couldn't decide if I wanted red or white and the same Vegas store was at the outlet so I picked it up there in red. Pic to follow later. I changed into my flip flops and walked over to Aria. Keep in mind that I take a short cut walking from vdara to Cosmo each time and don't walk through Aria. I wanted another parfait and hot tea for the night. I browsed the aria elements store to see what souvenirs if any i would get and then got my parfait and hot tea and went back to my room. Although it was only 8pm I was ready for bed. I ended up sleeping in till 4:30 am which is the longest I've slept in during my entire trip which means I was pretty tired yesterday.

My flight doesn't leave until late afternoon so plan is to get coffee, Starbucks will be open at Vdara today for the wknd. Bring it back to my room and lounge for a little. Check aria table and play until about 8sh or so. Catch the bus for 3 stops to target to pick some things up for flight home since I prob won't have dinner. Not in me to walk it and deal w.bridges. uber takes u around to paradise so can't use it to get to target. Figure it won't be crowded early in the day for the bus ride. Might have to walk it back though. Maybe I can hit up STK for their 2 to 5pm wknd happy hr but well see how the play goes. That sometimes keeps me from doing other things. I was also able to get a noon check out so I'll see where my belongings will be held until my flight, either at Aria or Cosmo.

I usually wake around 6am on UK time... so you can imagine what that's like in Vegas! There's not really any option for me other than to break stride immediately and give up on any attempt at circadian rhythm. I only really need to conform to the clock for tee times, show times and the flight home :)

$10 or $15 table at cosmo is pretty rare. Good find! Good rolls!

Yes I agree and reason i jumped on it although I was the only player for 10 mnts or so which was fine. Think that was the 1 day while in town I won some money.
