We did the evening one in winter. Was fun but really cold when we waited to return to the station.

My kid's favorites were the dolphin habitat and Madame Tussauds. We stayed at NYNY last time they went with me and my 12 y/o loved the arcade. We also went over to Excalibur to do their arcade for a bit. They also liked the mermaids and Bass Pro Shop at Silverton.

The rail explorers looks like fun! I hadn’t heard of that before. My 9 year old son loves going to Vegas. To him, Vegas is staying in a nice hotel, going to nice pools and lazy rivers, and going out to eat in nice restaurants. He loves the bellagio fountains, mirage volcano and circus circus. We usually go to Red Rock or Valley of Fire or something else outdoorsy in the morning.

We just took our kids to SeaQuest. They enjoyed it though it’s a smaller venue. Siegfried and Roy’s where the big cats and dolphins are was also fun for them. If my kids could, they’d stay in the pool all day!
Obviously the arcades as NYNY, CC and Excalibur are places we’ve gone. We have also let our kids hangout at the Kids Club at Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch. They also enjoyed Discovery Kids Museum, M&M store, Hershey’s store and basically anywhere they sell candy, toys and ice cream. Ha!

Thank you VMB'ers for all the great suggestions....we couldn't possibly fit all of these great suggestions into four trips! Seriously, thanks again for your input.

I think NYNY is great place for kids. Coaster and a huge arcade, if open. Hersey's store also M&M store across street. Plus Excalibur across the other street has kid crap too.

Tahiti Village is designed for families with kids. The strip hotels are not. I've been there. It is a nice place with plenty of things for kids and families. It's worth checking out the website.

We went in November with my 13 year old daughter and the things she enjoyed the most were the Midway/ Adventuredome at Circus, the Dolphin Habitat and shopping. Our hope for our upcoming spring break trip is that a show like Penna & Teller will open back up

How about incorporating a scavenger hunt. Make a short list and take a picture when they see it. Could be fun

I took my than 14 year old daughter and my 14 year old niece a couple of years ago. I believe they had a blast. We did:

    Visited the pawn shop
    Zipline on Fremont
Venture down to Fremont to see the locals at night
    Rollercoaster at NYNY
    Shopping at both outlets
    Red Rock Canyon
    Buffets Buffets Buffets
    Pinball Hall of Fame
Walked the Strip to see other casinos
    Pool only once

I actually beg the girls to take their pics with 2 Chippendale guys on Fremont so I could share the pic with my wife and sister but they unfortunately declined. The pinball hall of fame we spent 3 hours. All I can say I still have it. I was a shark in my younger days in pinball. I wished we did the drive to Death Valley. We did Grand Canyon when the kids were younger and didn't want to do the 4 hour drive to the south end.

We plan on taking the 13 yo Grandson this summer. The Grand Canyon West trip is on the list. It is driveable in a couple of hours. We may do Red Rock in the morning, definitely Pinball Hall of Fame. Excalibur has some kind of 4D experience plus both Excalibur and NYNY have big arcade areas. I know it is a chain but my Grandson loves Rain Forest Cafe - he has been to the San Antonio one a few times.

These are my notes from when I brought my 16 year old to Vegas 2 years ago. She was attending the wedding the parents of one of her friends. I got a room for her and 2 friends at Excal and generally let them drive the amount of contact they wanted... Though I did demand I see all of them once a day and fed them breakfast at 2p most days. In practice, she just wanted to hang out with her friends and walk around LVB and Fremont.. most of this planning just went to waste.

Anyway - maybe something in here would be helpful to you. Also - no idea what's open or not to COVID.

    Strip
    Flamingo birds (Flamingo)
    Linq Shopping/promenade/food (Linq)
    Tournament of Kings (Excal)
    Shark Reef (Mandalay)

    Mme Tussauds (Venetian)
    Marvel Avengers (TI)
    Circus Circus Adventuredome

We just added Topgolf to the list. I took her to the one a couple miles from my house yesterday. She had never really swung a golf club before. She is left handed and I play golf left handed so I showed her how to swing. She whiffed on numerous ocassions. She said it didn't feel right. So we switched her to a right handed club and hit a 200 yard dart. I thought it was beginners luck and then her next ten balls did the same thing. From a wedge to a driver, she was hitting the ball really well. I was kind of jealous. She has a real smooth swing and whips through the ball very well.

I'm a fan of staying at nyny with kids. Fast and cheap eats. If you stay in the new yorker tower elevators, floor 2 dumps you straight into the arcade. Excaliber next door for another arcade. M&M World across the street.
