You know, I don't have any chip pics from this trip. Before I paid off my markers, I had almost $100k in MGM and Aria chips in my pocket. But that final day was such a whirlwind of reckless gambling, I didn't really slow down enough to even think about a pic until after I had already cashed out. I have a harrowing casino chip story from my super bowl trip earlier this month and will include it if I end up writing a report of that trip

Yes—skylofts seem more for people who want to show off, but The Mansion is literally if you want/need to hide from the general public. There aren’t many places to do that on the Strip. The Mansion style of service seems full-on old world luxury. Staff is going to be doing everything for you, including things you haven’t asked for or even thought of. It is designed for people who are used to that or at least comfortable with letting others serve them 24/7. This is not for the guy who doesn’t want help with his bags, doesn’t need housekeeping service, won’t let anyone park his car, etc!

I had to catch my breath on that one. The first thing I thought was "thank God no one bumped into you by accident or some chips might have fallen out of your pocket!"

Thanks for the great report and photos of a place I will not be visiting!

Maybe opening a restaurant for a guest is a practice instituted for international guests who have jet lag issues, particularly high rollers from Asia where their day is our night.

Awesome report @UKFanatic as usual... first nice freaking place ... the mansion, I experienced the restaurant and skyloft but never staying at mansion itself. Glad you had good time, but man!!! You know the golden rule “dont chase (comps or losses)”; yeah I should freaking talk i always break the rule myself lol. Regardless glad you came out of ahead yeah after wining 23k then losing $60k can’t be easy feeling ... I don’t play anywhere near but I had some “serious” losses myself so I feel ya. And also yeah your host should have set up making sure your marker should be up to date.... after all said it done, I’m sure your host thanks your time playing and perhaps mansion again next trip!!!

A few years ago, I thought I had lost a 25k chip while at Aria. I panicked, running back and forth between club prive and the baccarat high limit searching for it. Eventually, I discovered that it had become wedged between the cash bills I had strapped with a rubber band in my pocket. But ever since that heart attack I carry a small bag in my pocket where I can put all my chips. That makes it a lot easier to keep up with them!

I feel comfortable saying that I very rarely chase comps, but I can't say I never do it (and sort of did it in a roundabout way on this trip). I am much more likely to chase losses. And sadly, I have had worse swings than the 83k that took place on this trip. The all time worst example was when I was closing in on winning 100k for a trip. This was back when I bet larger more consistently. I was up, I think, 87k and wanted to get to an even 100k before calling it quits. It went really bad and I ended up losing 80k on the trip. Oopps

Wow, holy cow .... yeah I know you rarely chase any comps; you don’t need to that’s for sure (even much smaller scale they usually take care me so I would imagine you are in good hand) but yeah I been there chasing after losses I had..... this reminds me one trip back few years ago..I was playing at bellagio high limit room and we were doing pretty well (playing bacc) most ppl on table were winning & having good time. Then this man showed up sat next to me took out $40k marker then he started betting out like $5,000 ..making long story short, he was in like $170k but was leaving that night so he was in hurry & lucky strick kept on going after two shoes he was up like $200k plus!!! Wow! So yeah I know it takes $$ to win. And this case he got did very well but other times we know it doesn’t work errrrr!!!
But your trip this one we pretty good I admit :) again glad it worked out.

EPIC! Thank you so much for sharing. I know I'll never stay at the Mansions. And I'll probably never see them in person. But now, at least, I can say I saw them in a way. The villa is amazing (of course), but I really love the pool/garden area. It just looks so serene! And I'm so glad you ended up turning a small profit - I was a little concerned there for a moment when it looked like you were going on tilt your last day.

I also miss Robuchon (or at least L'Atelier) --- hope they reopen soon.

I definitely won't see the inside of a mansion with my own eyes, so thanks for sharing the photos!

Please post your next report. I love long, detailed reports.

I hate that...I've done that before, except my amount was half your amount, but it sure stings and then you kick yourself on the plane ride going home the next day asking "Really? Really? Way to go dumb shit!"

Again, thanks for the full candor on your stories...those things can be hard to talk about....I try to bury those memories deep in my small brain, never to be spoken of again.

Great report! Loved all the pics!

Yeah I'm a loss chaser at heart too. But can't imagine if I did it at those bets. :faint: It's great when it works out though!

    Look forward to more TRs!
