Informative : IMO I think Gonzaga or Michigan cut down the nets. Preferably Michigan.
The NCAA announced in early January the entire 2021 men’s basketball championship will be played in Indiana, with the majority of the tournament’s 67 games taking place in Indianapolis. Selection Sunday is scheduled for March 14, with the Final Four scheduled for April 3 and 5. The NCAA also announced exact preliminary-round dates in January.

    Here's the schedule:

    • Selection Sunday — 6 p.m. ET March 14
    • First Four — 4 p.m. start on Thursday, March 18
    • First round — 12 p.m. start on Friday, March 19, and Saturday, March 20
    • Second round — 12 p.m. start on Sunday, March 21, and Monday, March 22
    • Sweet 16 — 2 p.m. start on Saturday, March 27, and 1 p.m. start on Sunday, March 28
    • Elite Eight — 7 p.m. start on Monday, March 29, and 6 p.m. start on Tuesday, March 30
    • Final Four — 5 p.m. start on Saturday, April 3
    • NCAA championship game — 9 p.m. Monday, April 5

Its hard to bet against Zaga or Baylor this year. They are clearly the two best. But the best don't always win the tourney. If you want to look beyond those top two, Michigan is definitely a good pick also. Illinois has a good shot too. If you want to try and get a better return on a longer shot, I would look at Purdue. They are a well balanced team. Finally, don't buy into the Loyola hype. They are better than the storybook team from a couple years ago and they play great defense, but they don't shoot the ball well. You can win a game or two in the tourney with a monster defensive team, but ultimately you are going to have games where you have to make shots and Loyola can't do that

Leonard Hamilton has a very athletic/long team in Tallahassee. FSU is my pick to take it all.

Remember those early 90s FSU teams with Bobby Sura, Charlie Ward, Doug Edwards and Sam Cassell? Felt bad that they could never quite make it over the top with all that talent. They were sure fun to watch.

I sure do. As an FSU grad I'm a huge fan of the Noles. That team was special, and Charlie Ward was a leader on the Football Field and the Hard Court. A little before my time at FSU, but I loved watching Dave Cowens/HOF play for the Celtics. A bit undersized for the center position, but he made up for it with his grit. Last years team had the potential (two first round picks/#4 & #11) to get to the final four if not for the tournament being cancelled. I'm really looking forward to March Madness.

I didn't feel bad for them. My Cats beat them by 20+!!!! :woohoo: We beat them so badly that Doug Edwards' little brother picked UK over FSU a few years later

Michigan has a great combination of offense and defense, playing in the best conference. I put a small bet down on them at 11/1 and I’ll put a bigger bet down on them next month in Vegas at 7/1 (Hopefully). Plus, coach Howard has got to be front runner for coach of the year.

hard to bet against the Zags.

Also like Nova. Not really a sleeper as they have the 4th best odds, but +1400 is great value.

Interesting thoughts on FSU. They are really playing well and have great size. Gonzaga would seem like the big favorite, but their soft season schedule has been exacerbated by cancelation of occasional out-of-conference games against tougher opponents. They could get surprised in the tournament. The Big !2 is a tough conference, so Baylor is for real. Ditto Michigan. Illinois was looking good and is fun to watch, but lost to Michigan State last night. Should be a good tournament. That any team can manage one exceptional game is what makes it so much fun.

Michigan State upsets #5 Illinois and #4 Ohio State in the same week. Gotta love college basketball! Too bad the West Virginia - Baylor game was canceled. That seemed like a good test of Baylor's talent since West Virginia has been playing well. I'm hoping with all the postponements and cancelations the tournament holds together. NCAA announced that once the tournament starts there will be no substitutions if a team has to cancel, instead resulting in a forfeit. That will be odd and no doubt void any related bets. Whatever, we'll be at South Point for the first couple of rounds. No idea yet if they are doing anything tournament related this year.

Gonzaga. The clear #1. It's pretty hard to imagine anyone beating them. Too bad their early season game with Baylor was canceled, but wins over Kansas, WV, Iowa and Virginia is pretty strong.

It'll be all about those matchups starting in the Sweet 16. I typically wait until the bracket comes out to decide. Gonzaga looks unbeatable right now though

I don’t have any favorites, I would just like to see my Razorbacks win a game or two.
I think Gonzaga is very very good but playing in a weaker conference seems to catch up with teams in the tournament

Michigan for me. However, I have probably watched less CBB than ever before.
