Make sure and submit request before you leave baggage claim. Typical wait times have been 15-20 mins

the app will show you which uber/lyft pickup to use and where to go...there are two pickup spots, heres some real life pictures to help for Terminal 1 pickup, there is plenty signage just in case. (I took these picks years ago for a co-workers first trip to Vegas to help him out)

walk toward the Rolex video screen and turn right
    [IMG]

use these escalators or elevators to go to the 2nd floor
    [IMG]

if using the escalator you have to turn and walk bback toward the elevators, slight left and then a right and out the doors to the sky bridge
    [IMG]

    walk across the bridge
    [IMG]

walk back toward these elevators, turn right and walk about 20ft, this is terminal 1 pickup

Thanks so much for so many detailed responses. The photos are great. I remember the area well because in my more healthy days I often caught a bus from ground zero, so I won't get lost as long as I can catch the Uber in Terminal 1.

Very kind of you to remember me. I am not sure I can get up the stairs of the buses anymore even without luggage. Getting from the Airport to Longhorn means taking the 202 as the second bus. The 202 is not the easiest bus for luggage. I'll try perhaps to ride the 202 with no luggage down to the strip from Eastside Cannery. If I can use both hands, I should be successful.

Buses can kneel down if you ask the driver. Also the accessible ramp can be opened for you.

Yes. Hopefully I won't need to ask for that. Thanks.

Umm you do realize that the Uber/Lyft pick up spot at McCarran was moved about a year to year and a half ago?

OP, just follow the signs for rideshare.

Just take a cab right outside the door. All the time you be walking to catch UBER you will be at your hotel.

Ok, I was going to mention you don't have to go downstairs if you're not picking up luggage.

Thanks Ty. I'm going for two weeks, so I'll pack a check in.
For this longer ride to Boulder highway I believe the Uber or perhaps Lyft will be quite a bit cheaper than a cab. I won't mind waiting. I've been waiting indoors here at home for months just to go somewhere, and I have not been well enough to attempt a Vegas trip since Feb 2019.
Thanks all for the very helpful information.

The Uber situation at the airport stresses me out a bit, because there's always a massive scrum in the waiting area. Also, it's probably cheaper from the airport to your hotel, but bear in mind that within the resort corridor, rideshare is not necessarily cheaper or more convenient than a cab. At MGM Grand, for example, you have to go all the way to the garage, as opposed to just grabbing a cab out front. And at Aria, it's probably the same distance to the north valet pickup area as the taxi stand, but drivers get incredibly lost trying to find it, so it regularly takes 10-15 minutes.
