    My Trip Report

Well, a little short of 48 hours to takeoff, so let's get this trip report rolling:

Two nights at Venetian, the Venetian stay is for the $250,000 Dual Slot tournament

The first is a $100,000 slot tournament on Saturday. For mid-rollers like me free entry, and finishing in the top ten gains entry into the $150,000 tournament on Sunday. Higher rollers get entry into both tournaments (or is it maybe just the Sunday tournament?) @Flowers - were you invited to both tournaments on the $250,000 weekend or just the Sunday one?. No idea if there is a separate "buy-in" to the Sunday tournament.

Then, on to Cosmopolitan for two nights at Cosmopolitan (comped and resort fees waived) to check Cosmopolitan out and see whether my luck would justify me making level there.

The meal schedule is "full", and among the meals

    Dinners
    Nabe w/ @eliza
CUT - w/BFF gonna make sure we have room for the deconstructed banana cream Pie. Got a $200 custom comp from Playstudios to cover this

For the last two dinners, BFF and I are going "dutch". He picked one and I picked one. For my selection, I was going to choose Beauty and Essex (Cosmopolitan), but didn't feel like "breaking the bank", so I chose:

Ellis Island - going to compare the prime Rib with other price comparable selections, like Jerry's Nugget and Magnolia's

    BFF chose for Monday dinner
Shabuya - A new restaurant in Chinatown. It is new and appears to be like Nabe, AYCE Sushi and HotPot

    Lunches
Hong Kong Cafe (Palazzo) w/ @44inarow
Lotus of Siam - with local buddy Jason
Silverton - gotta use up comps

    Breakfasts
    Jerry's Nugget
Saginaw's - going to use Club One comps

Should be lots of food porn.

Other things on my list are:

Over to CET (Cromwell, probably to get some Year of the OX TR cards.
Area 15 for a lengthier and more detailed visit.
Trip to Searchlight to leave off a belated V'Day gift for PFGF Iris.
Play off some (or all) of the $1100 in match play chips at the D (since I'm using a food comp at Saginaw's)

Test out my new phone. I got 5G on Verizon for <$500. I bought the TCL 10 5G UW phone to replace my Samsung Galaxy S8+. I just couldn't justify spending $1000 for a phone, but I did want 5G on Verizon.

Wish me luck!!! I hope this isn't like last trip when I go down the rabbit hole early, and then find that elusive bottle of elixir that "makes me big".

Haven't tried the prime rib at Ellis Island but their BBQ pork back ribs is very good, and inexpensive.

That is a fantastic trip you have lined up @DaiLun! Can't wait to see food pics from all of your places, from Ellis Island to Nabe to CUT, including of the deconstructed banana cream pie at CUT. How did I miss that before!!??? Area 15 is on my list as well. Looking forward to your review.

Wishing you a fabulous and winning time!!!

On the $250k slot tournament, yes, I just checked and my offer makes clear it's two separate tournaments ($100k and $150k) but that my offer is for 3 comped nights and one entry into both tournaments.

I missed this one, the one in March and the one in April, which is days before my planned arrival. :(

Wishing you mega luck during the tournament!

Enjoy your trip! Excited to see a V/P trip report as it seems that many ex-V/P-ers (myself included) all went over to the Wynn. I think @irishdave is the only loyalist, though I believe that might not even be the case anymore.

I still dabble over at V/P :), but with home base still being Wynncore. It's a challenge though to not play at V/P too much or too little as I don't want to burn my offers there.

I love V/P -- it's home to some of my greatest Vegas memories. I even got my first two Royal Flushes there. But, their offer on my play got whacked by Wynn's offer. Wynn doubled the Food Credit and added more FreePlay to boot. @DaiLun might be the reason why I go to visit again :)

    Good luck!!!

I was actually over at V/P tonight with another internet friend at Sugarcane. I 100% of the time get hopelessly lost there. But Sugarcane was absolutely fantastic. Menu is all over the place, but everything is good (I wasn't a big fan of the Brussels sprouts because there was a bit too much balsamic for me, but my buddy absolutely loved it and was close to getting a second order).

Putting aside price, I was never a big fan of Beauty & Essex. The food is fine, but I was put off by the fact that the server began with, "Welcome to Beauty & Essex, where our head chef is celebrity chef Chris Santos, who you may know from television's Chopped and other media." Do. Not. Care.

If you're interested in Area 15, you might want to check this out at V/P: https://www.mods-museum.com/vegas/

They're probably going to get smacked down soon for ripping off Yayoi Kusama (especially because they explicitly say they're deriving from her), but it does look pretty cool.

Good luck! I was supposed to go to that tournament but canceled on Tuesday because they cleared out my comps lol.

Online it said my comps expire Feb 22. But it lied... Oh well. But main reason was to go use up my comps and have fun at the tournament.

    Enjoy!
