Consumer reports has led us to some of the worse purchases we have ever made not high on are list of recommendations to use as a guide, I think most SUV's and MINI Vans are built pretty good now days, test drive any vehicle before you buy that is a must and remember when buying they made more than 1 best advice my dad gave me years ago. I work with a guy that has a Toyota Sienna and loves it also parents have drove Chrysler mini vans sense the 90's and have been happy with them.

Palisade Limited owner here. It's a fantastic vehicle and I would buy it again 100 times over. And since you have have kids, the third row is usable, even for adults. There are 7 USB charging ports, which is more than enough for everyone in the vehicle. There's also like 12 cup holders (seriously). Cooled and heated 2nd row seats too, which my passengers love. Great safety features and bitchen infotainment system to boot. Test drive one and look for two things. Wind noise above 60 MPH on driver side (easy fix) and stinky headrests. Those seem to be the two main issues people experience early on, even though the majority of the Palisades are fine. I have not had a single issue since buying in July. Good luck and have fun shopping.

Both the Palisade and Telluride are getting rave reviews from all the major car reviewers which usually makes demand very high. This then, often means no discounts or even markups above sticker. How did you fare ?

I've been a vendor for most manufacturers (not all) for 11 years now. The vehicles I have purchased (new) during that time were a Honda motorcycle, a Toyota car and a Nissan truck. All our partners give us deals but the 3 I mentioned don't have the best deals for us. Good but not like some of the other manufacturers. That's all I've got to say about it.

We have a 2009 Toyota RAV 4 - it has 265,000 on it and still going strong. However, I am now looking at Hyundai Kona.

My niece has an Acura SUV, a little pricey but seems well worth it. Not sure if its a MDX or RDX but it's roomy—seats 5—with all the Apple Play stuff and a lot of other amenities.

I'll keep it simple. A car, preferably new. For me with the dog (60 lb hound/lab mix) in the backseat.
Driver room and comfort critical. 6' 4" , 260 lbs. 34" inseam, maximum legroom a MUST!
No trucks, and not keen about SUV's. HELP!

Congrats! The most important thing is you are happy!

I have a 2014 Equinox (which a lot of people have had issues with - oil wise I believe). It definitely wouldn't have worked for you, but I love it. (Bought it 3 years ago in November used). Years ago I used to haul the little one in her car seat and entire hockey line of boys PLUS their bags in my Windstar & Voyager minivans lol!!

Hyundai Genesis/G80, get a blanket for the back seat for your four legged friend, maybe black leather. I would get a used one, they depreciate heavily in the first few years. They are RWD, AWD is optional, but it might be superfluous in Florida. I have a 2012 with the 3.8 V6 and it has plenty of power. The 5.0 R Spec is pretty special.

I'd like to keep it under 40K, because it will be no financing, cut a check for full amount. Thanks.
