My first ever play there was on November 1st and all I get in email is promotions, no offers for room, free play, food? It is now February 13th. I remember before I left to head back to fremont street I used up my comp points that I was able to turn to free play, which was $45. I was there for I do not remember how many hours playing. If I was able to get out $45 worth of free play and take advantage of the 2 kiosk promotions for spin the wheel (my mom did not make enough points for the 2nd one which was I think 1.5k points or something like that), I should be getting a really good offer in the mail which has not been anything. Why is that? Golden Nugget gave me around the same offers for March based on my last trip end oct 30-nov 2nd, California got me offers again for March/April (nothing for jan/feb), The D my free play and food credit went up from last trip, Circa got them within a few weeks after my first play on Nov 1 there (before going to el cortez). 4 queens stayed same for me but went down for my mom for March (they send me $300 free play each month), Primm Valley started getting offers from Nov 2nd play in January for first time ever getting offers there (stopped there on way home and was playing for a few hours. They sent me $200 free play for every 2 days there).

Whats going on with el cortez? Checking my email everyday, checking the mail everyday. My next trip is the end of this month Feb 26th-Mar 2nd staying at golden nugget. I also played more hours there than I did at 4 queens my last trip.

I am far from an El Cortez expert, but each company has different ways of determining offer levels. Some places want 2-3 trips of play history before really getting you in on the monthly offers. Maybe El C is one of those.

Cortez tends to send one offer mailer that spans 1/4 of a year.

The last one I received after my OCT visit was in DEC and the offer was from JAN 2 - March 31.

That probably doesn't help...but John Dorweiler is a good guy (Hotel Manager). Write him and ask...he will let you know for sure.

For comp offers or hotel only? I want to know about the free play/food credit and whatever other offers that work without hotel stay. If no offers I won't step foot in that place again. I put a lot of money in that place and spent hours there my first ever time there just to see nothing in my email or by mail. I played even more than I did at 4 queens I know that for sure and 4 queens sent me 300 free play for March base on my last trip, same date I played at el Cortez. I know for sure 4 queens March is from Nov 1 play because my moms offers went down from 40 free play to 20 free play for March there.

I am not El Cortez expert either.
But I know some places that don't send offers to pass-by players. You have to stay there first before getting any offer.

Is there anyone on here who actually get offers from el Cortez? I know this casino you can use free play without hotel stay. I read about it in the past which is why I made sure put good play in there my last visit. No mention about needing a hotel stay to use the free play, if you remember the posts people asking about casinos that allow free play without hotel stay.

I have been getting quarterly offers from El Cortez most quarters since the July-September 2019 quarter. I received that offer in late May / early June 2019, based on decent play I put in on a single day in March 2019. I very much short-played them on a trip in June 2019, and the next quarterly offer I received (in late August 2019) covering the September-December 2019 was not as good. Got the same offer level covering January-March 2020 (received mid-December 2019), as I did not play there again until late December 2019. I didn't play all that much there that trip (a tiny bit on two separate days that were 5 days apart from one another), but the April-June 2020 offer that I received in late February 2020 was a bit improved (though not back up to the level of my Jul-Sep 2019 offer). Got the same offer level for July-September 2020, but somehow did not even receive an offer covering October-December 2020. In early November 2020, I received a quarterly offer again (covering January-March 2021) at the same level. I played quite a bit at El Cortez on a single day in late December 2020. In January 2021, I received a bounceback offer (had never before gotten one from there) good through the end of February 2021 that was at the same level (room type and days, FP, and F&B) as the offer I received all the way back in Jul-Sep 2019. I presume that my next offer will be at least equal to the bounceback offer.

Part of the paragraph above explains why you have not yet received an offer yet. You played at the El Cortez on 1 November 2020. It was just two days after that when I got my January-March 2021 offer via email (and then shortly thereafter, I got the print mailer). For the now-current quarter, the offer went out quite a bit earlier than usual, and I presume that the cutoff for play that would factor into the offer was sometime in October 2020 (probably not the very last day, though. From a bit of poking around, I suspect that the cutoff could have been as early as 24 September 2020). Thus, expect to receive your first El Cortez offer around 1 March 2021, +/- 10 days (probably on the earlier side), covering April-June 2021. You will not be receiving an offer from El Cortez that will cover the time period of your upcoming trip. I am estimating that you will get 3 nights anytime in a Tower Premium room, $25 free play, $25 F&B at Siegel's 1941. Unfortunately, I have never had offer FP available to me on a day when I have played at El Cortez (since that requires getting at least any night of the week comped in a quarterly offer), so I cannot speak from experience about the ability to use FP without a hotel stay. The same goes for the F&B credit (which I have not even bothered to look for at El Cortez when I have had it in a current offer).

This all presumes that your email and physical addresses are correct in their system.

If you really want to know if you can use the free play and/or dining portions of your offers without a hotel stay... call them. If you want to know if you have any current offers that cover your current trip, and you are worried that they don't have your contact info correct to send you something... call them.

So I just called the El Cortez. I confirmed the following...
    • You do not need to book the room on the offer in order to use the free play.
    • You need to book the room on the offer in order to use the food & beverage credit at Siegel's 1941 because using the credit requires charging the meal to your room.
    • You can give your player's card number and name, and they will tell you what offers you currently have.

Thank you. So in March is when I am expecting to start getting offers. Good to know. They work different than any other casino I have ever been to which is why I was worried base on how long I was playing my first ever trip there and how much I put in. Was also on average max betting the whole time too. I should see really good free play offers coming. My email I know is correct because I am getting promotion information from them. Just waiting for my actual offers to come.

Thank you. So it is pretty much like 4 queens where you have to stay in a room to use the food offer but can use the free play without a hotel stay. Good to know. The member who replied before you plays there a lot and told me in March I should start receiving my first offer starting in April. My next trip after this one end of feb is on my birthday end of May.

I used to get suite offers at El Cortez, but never took them up on it, and after a year, the offers stopped.

Then I started going again and would get freeplay but no rooms, then received rooms again (no suite).

In August, I stayed on an offer of 3 nights with freeplay and food, but it was a one-time offer from a letter that I'm guessing was generated from my play in July.

I only played one of those days and had a disastrous session in 2 hours, and figured coin-in wasn't enough to get me welcomed back with another offer.

But in November (I think), I received an offer for 3 nights in a premium room (or suite if available, but on checkin they say to ask a host), freeplay, and food. Good once a month for Jan, Feb, and March.

Nice to get an offer at all since I had relatively little play for what I lost.

You might try calling 1-800-634-6703 or emailing [email protected] to see what your offers are, or VIP Services can comp you based on the play they see.

By the way, I really love the premium rooms. They remodeled and it feels like a home more than a hotel.
