    JMHO,
call me super sensitive, but I like the taste and "mouth feel" of Fiji.
this from someone that thinks the tap through a culligan sink filter is also great.
and P likes spending on trying weird waters.. thoughts on Smart Water?
    maybe it's the bottle?

Sink filtered water in a refrigerated glass Voss bottle is also mighty delicious.

I think there may be an alkalinity factor, makes it taste "soft"

just got clued into ordering it at Cosmo, will try..
    +1 for not tiny bottle

;)remember the old joke that Evian is Naive spelled backwards?

and IIRC Utah had the best tasting tap water I've ever had.

It has electrolytes added. It's what plants crave.

If you can not taste the difference in water were/are you a smoker as that usually ruins taste for lots of folks.

We go through about a dozen Fiji in 4 night stay. The big bottles.

Can someone explain the fascination with Fiji water? Is this just the newest and latest trend? Like Red Bull was years back at every bar in America? Its maybe a buck a bottle at most at Costco and it tastes no different than any other filtered water, yet the bar charges $8 a bottle at the casino, while they handed them to me if I just asked. (MGM property)

The greatest scam in the history of the world is paying for bottled water.

Well, second greatest scam, but if I mentioned the greatest one, I would probably either get struck by lightning, or kicked off the board.

Fiji water has a distinctly different taste than standard bottled water. It is very refreshing. I think the second part of the desire is a status thing. Its like wearing a designer purse. You want to be seen with it because its the hip and cool thing to do. I also feel like I am getting something of value compared to a casino bottled water which I associate zero value with. Its crazy to think that a bottle of fiji water wholesale costs more than most bottled beers or mixed drinks.

While I really enjoy fiji water my favorite is Voss water in a glass bottle. Years ago it was available at Caesars Palace and you could even tell them if you wanted it cold or room temperature. I tried having my host get it so it was available on one of my past trips and they said they could only get the plastic bottles.

Would people be surprised if they knew Fiji water is owned by the same company that owns POM juice and Wonderful nuts?

I still enjoy alcholic beverages but in every other respect I agree 100%.
I drink mostly NYC water out of the tap when at home as NYC water actually has a great "taste" (and is used to make the famous NY bagels) though I recently bought a filtering contraption that I have yet to hook up.
I like Poland Springs too when I do want to pick up a couple of gallons for emergencies but in a casino, Fiji is tops for all of the reasons you noted. Plus, I love the color pink. :)

NYC is consistently rated high for taste. Here in Seattle, tap water isn't bad, but that fluoride has to go. I've had a filter for the fridge for years and it's great. As far as bottles go, never found one that was better than plain old filtered tap water.

Compared to the diluted sulphur that they call tap water in Florida Fiji is a major treat for me in Vegas. At home I recently started drinking Aquafina and it is a MAJOR upgrade over our tap water.
