I will be riding solo at Cosmo in the near future and see that restaurants are reservation only now. When solo, I normally prefer to sit and eat at the bar. Are restaurants seating at the bar under current conditions, with reservations, and/or during the advertised happy hours? Any recent experience with/knowledge of Cosmo's practices? Thanks!

On a somewhat related note and to avoid creating another new post, does one need reservations to play bar top VP at Chandelier and/or the Sports Book bar?

Most restaurants do have some bar seating, but you still need a reservation. Being solo, a lot of times they will give you the choice, or just note in your reservation that you would like bar seating.

As for Chandelier, when I was there in December, during the day I was able to just walk up and sit at the bar to play VP. In the evening once it got busier, they asked you to make a reservation right there before they would let you in. Kind of a pain, so I played there mostly early in the day.

I did solo happy hours at Scarpetta and Jaleo. Still make a reservation (or you can try for a walk up reservation if you want to gamble). In my reservation notes I put that I was coming for happy hour and prefer bar seating, if available. I didn't have any problems.

On my trips in November and December, bar tops were open at all restaurants I visited. And Cosmo has some great happy hours.

You can have some fun by going to the Cosmo website and clicking on the HH link. It will list each outlet, the hours and the menu. The hours vary so you can line-up the appointment time for each plus build your own progressive menu based on the items you want to order at each restaurant.
