I've been to Vegas 3 times this year (I am here now, eating my last breakfast before flying home) and I won't be back until restaurants no longer require reservations. I didn't realize how frustrating it would be. This is Vegas. I never know if I will be in bed at 9 sulking about my losses or out until 5 sm winning all the money. That makes it difficult to plan for breakfast in advance.

Once we make it to Disney :D As we were supposed to do Vegas/Cali in May then Miami/Key West in October 2020 then Disney in March this year. I have many gift cards for the Disney trip so just want to get rid of those.

Just cancelled Jan. & Feb Wynn comp stays. Will try for summer when those offers come out.
I had been holding out slim hope of going, but I pay too much attention to Sonyas covid updates.
I don't want to go from the frying pan into the fire.

There was maybe only a 25% chance we were going to go in 2020 anyway as we had other plans so that went to zero. I would now put things at 25% for the fall 2021. We have too many things going on this winter, spring and summer to begin with covid or no covid. I did June/July once in Vegas and that was enough for me. If things clear up enough by fall, we have some other destinations that will likely take take precedence but, as they say "so you're telling me there's a chance..."

This thread is interesting to say the least. I'm certain that by the time I go back to Vegas I will have fallen from Diamond Plus to barely Gold. it's always fun to start over,,,,,again.

It looks like we won't be going again until we get vaccinated. I get plenty of gambling here on the Gulf Coast and LV is not as appealing as it usually is with all the restrictions, not to mention having to fly in a packed airplane.

Received my 1st dose of vaccine yesterday....in 4 weeks get my 2nd & final. My trip is the last week of April. Hoping for a more normal experience than we had in August....very hard to get into Flam pool / no bars / etc. But we still had a good time....even with no major shows....it will be good to get back....

Getting 2nd dose tomorrow. But our pharmacy is one of the ones that is able to give COVID vaccines so now I’m working a lot more than usual.

I’m looking forward to going back at the end of March. I surprisingly qualified for the vaccine as a caregiver for my mom. I got my first shot last week and my mom is scheduled for her first shot this week.

I know it will be a more subdued trip but I haven’t even eaten in a restaurant since March last year. So some restaurant dining will be a treat. I’ve made my dining reservations already and between slots, some bingo and pool time I think it will be a nice trip, even with masks and social distancing.

I will return when I feel safe.......
Safe enough to sit in a closed airline compartment for 5hrs 20 mins -
Safe enough not to spread Covid to my family upon my return
Safe enough to enjoy Vegas - as I remember it
Safe enough that my " unnecessary vacation " trip will not impact the lives of others
    ........you asked.......and I'm saying........

Got my first vaccine dose yesterday, so my trip in Feb is looking more doable! Masking doesn't bother me.....worked ICU for 30 plus years.
Looking forward to some sun, as northern WI has not seen any for days!

I got my first shot Wednesday and second scheduled for next month, but will likely hold off on Vegas until some type of normalcy returns.

I’ve had hotel booked, but just booked airfare for our May 23 trip. We’re hoping that even if we can’t get our vaccinations before then that enough people will have gotten them, that there should be less infected people floating around.

I am booked at the middle/end of Februrary. I went in September and all was well. Things have gotten much worse since then. Even though I'm old, I'm too young to get in on the first wave of vaccines. I must admit I'm slightly uncomfortable but, based on my last trip, my risk will be medium to low. I am solo, I stay on Eastern time so up very early, back in the room very early, I will eat all my meals in the room, I'm doing a Sunday through Friday, leave early Saturday. I'm staying at Mandalay Bay which is expansive and open and Wynn which seems to be doing everything they can. I normally take 2 trips a year, Feb/Mar and Sept/Oct. I prefer slow times so giving it a try. With everything on a comp and the airfare easily changed, I can make up my mind for sure just a few days in advance.

April 23rd. I've been 3 times during the pandemic but by this date I will have been vaccinated.
